    Spieth -6

He's got a shot here - chops out, between the tree trunks, chip and a putt and a par is his. He's the Weeble of Augusta - he wobbles, but he never goes down.

Smylie Kaufman who is currently second in his first Masters on two under: “I have learnt to stay patient, the conditions called for it but I got a grasp for the course in the week before and set up a good game plan. Over the last three days I just tried to hit certain spots and get a look at birdies.

"I would like to think my ability means I can compete with the best. This year has been a confidence boost, I’ve had a good year and I just have to try to keep it going into tomorrow and see what happens."

Hold on, where's the champ gone off the tee here? AWOL, out right into the crunchy pines...

"Jordan Spieth is a very slow player but you can't do anything about it as a player. Jordan takes his time over putts but he is not going to get penalised, being the champion."

Round of 72, -1, tied for third

Not bad from Hideki, but it could have been so much better - had a sinkable putt to draw level with Spieth not that long ago, finishes five shots back and counting.

Chris Crocker: Men against boys. Rory just buckled whilst Spieth shows what it takes to be a champion. It will be a procession from here.

  10. 'Wind was here, there and everywhere'published at 23:52 British Summer Time 9 April 2016

Danny Willett who is tied for fifth on level par, tells BBC Two: "I played lot of good golf. The wind was here there and everywhere, I made a few silly mistakes from the middle of the fairway but 72 is a good score. It is tricky, it would have been nice to peg one or two more.

"It is going to need a low one to win tomorrow. The forecast is slightly better, but you will have to go out and shoot a pretty special round tomorrow."

McIlroy parred that one, by the way, but at eight shots off the lead this has been less a duel and more a clinic.

    Spieth -6, four-shot lead

Sensational putting. Big old swing from left to right, and he read it like Janet and John. This man was born for this course - second on debut, champion in second year, leader going into final round in third.
