"Is that the moment which ignites his Masters?"
Now then, it's been a huge five minutes. The roars tell us that Rory McIlroy has sunk his eagle chance at 13, made by a lovely tee-approach combo. All that after Day dropped four in two holes. Six-shot swing. McIlroy to three under, three behind Spieth with five to play.
McIlroy for eagle at 13...

"All the trouble was caused by the tee shot. It has cost Jason Day three shots and he tumbles all the way down the leaderboard. A very, very, costly couple of holes for the world number one."
Lordie. Jason Day has dropped four shots in two holes. Two sixes in a row. One at 15, one at 16. Five under to one under.
Lowry, in the shadows on the 14th tee, cutting a huge silhouette. Nice work. Day for bogey, at least eight feet away. Could even be looking at a treble.

"Could this be when Rory McIlroy's round lifts off?"
McIlroy's approach to the par-five 13. Good spot on the fairway after a wonderful drive, evening sunshine, very eagle-able. Oh it is! Attacking the pin, no more than 10 feet away. He'll have that to go three under.

"Jordan Spieth plays an error free style of golf. Everyone hits bad shots but Jason Day is playing on a very fine line. He didn’t allow for physical mistake, he had to play the perfect shot."
Day's third, off the ladies' tee. He doesn't like that either. He's on the green, but not in the right postcode. Could be a double. Meanwhile, Lowry pars 13. He could be second on his own before long.

"After the last five minutes that have just happened, he is just trying to gather himself Jason Day."
Jason Day! From the shadows of the 16th tee, an eight iron, attacking the pin, rolling off the green and into the drink. A bogey at 15, now worse at 16. Somewhere, Jordan Spieth smiles. Meanwhile, Danny Lee plays a belter from the trees at 18 to be just off the green.

Mike Devitt: Rory already has a mountain to climb! Must stop dropping shots. Spieth doesn't.
Ernie! Wonderful tee shot to the 16th. Rolling down the slope, within four feet of the whole. He'll probably only need five putts from there.
"Aaaahhh, the wind's got it." Ian Poulter not happy with his tee shot at 17. Danny Lee, the Kiwi one of the three in the chasing pack at four under, is even less impressed with his tee shot at the par-four 18th. Club dropped. It's in the woods.
Jason Day was shaking his head after his approach to the 15th. He knew the task ahead of him. A three-putt at the par five sees him drop a stroke, meaning Jordan Spieth, who has probably already had his dinner, leads by two.
Jordan Spieth rated his round of 66 more highly than the opening 64 which set him on the way to a record-breaking wire-to-wire victory 12 months ago.
"I got the most I could probably get out of my round today," said the American. "I think it may have been better than the first round last year because of the conditions - I definitely could make that argument.
"I'm very pleased with it and I put it up there with one of the best rounds I've played; one of the best rounds I've scored."

"I think players knew it was going to be a difficult day. Everyone knew this was coming. These guys are really good players, they were mentally prepared for this.
"The number of players under 70, that is the real key, anything under 70 is really good."
Look at that leaderboard. Casey, Rose and Poulter, three Englishman, are in the top six at three under. Ireland's Shane Lowry one ahead of them at four under. Home interest.
