Looking at the summitpublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 17 July 2016
Welcome to the final day of The Open
And there out front stands a man trying to break new personal ground.
The dreams he had as a kid, you know the ones you think will probably never come true, well they are close. So close he can almost touch them and feel their jug-like shape.
This is uncharted territory, a summit he's never conquered. It's taken 40 years, millions of swings and hundreds of disappointments to get here.
It's all on the line, the pressure heightens, the bad moments exacerbated, the emotions volatile.
What's more, the front man is being chased by an experienced dream catcher. A man who has lived this out before, he knows what it takes, he knows how to deal with the setbacks, he's seen the top of the mountain and knows what a wonderful view is in store if you make it.
