    T Woods -13 (17)

Just the 125 yards to go for Tiger Woods as he approaches the 18th green.

A wedge on to the smooth stuff that spins to a stop 15 feet from the pin. Huge cheers as the 14-time major winner marches after it, and Woods it lapping it up. A doff of the cap and a raise of his hand in appreciation.

    A Bellerive love story.

Brooks Koepka takes a moment to steady himself. The American walks away from the tee, has a practice swing and then struts back up to it before hammering his drive down the left of the 17th fairway.

Adam Scott hooks his into the rough.

Cracking drive from Tiger Woods on the last. What he'd have done for that off the 17th...

  4. Woods saves parpublished at 23:28 British Summer Time 12 August 2018

    T Woods -13 (17)

Tiger drains the par putt. A great save after plugging his drive into the hazard and then finding the sand, but he really needed birdie or better at the par-five 17th to tee up a challenge. He's three off Brooks Koepka's lead with one to play...

    These bunkers are pearly white.

Tiger Woods digs his heels into the fine grains and eyes up his chip to the green. It flops on, but with a mid-range putt to save par to come.

This could be the Wanamaker Trophy on Brooks Koepka's putter. Six feet, little movement, nerves of steel. Got it!

The US Open champion is two shots clear with two to play...

Tricky up and down did we say? Not for Adam Scott. He's almost holes his dink on to the 16th green! The Aussie says something we can't possibly write on a family-friendly website as his ball whistles inches past the pin.

More trouble for Tiger. Having made it back on the fairway, he was just looking to coax it up to the green but comes up left and finds a bunker. Chip in from here...?

Adam Scott also goes with a four iron, we believe, stepping back for a moment before addressing the ball. A gust of wind?

Back he goes, cutting his ball too much and pushing it out to the top right of the green. Tricky up and down from the rough.

Such is the interest in Tiger Woods’s attempts to land a 15th major, that Rafael Nadal checked the US PGA leaderboard as soon as he wrapped up victory in the Rogers Cup in Toronto. Everyone is gripped! The Spaniard won’t know that Tiger just muffed that tee shot, though.

Our leader on the 16th tee... four iron in hand... nailed it. If we could use a hand-clapping emoji then we would. Pitches in the heart of the green and rolls to about eight feet away. A near-250-yard par three remember. Tweet tweet...

So Woods' ball is plugged inside the hazard. Tiger needs to go and confirm it's his. It is, so will he play it? Or take a penalty stroke?

"Are you saying we can drop it?" asks his caddie, to which the official hastily says he's not.

Woods will play this, feet down the bank, just looking to chop it back out on to the fairway.

He finds a nice, smooth spot of grass to attack the pin from.

  13. Koepka takes outright leadpublished at 23:15 British Summer Time 12 August 2018

    B Koepka -15, A Scott -14 (15)

No danger. Koepka keeps his cool, firmly rolling in a left-to-right from about 10 feet.

Finally he takes one of the chances he's been giving himself on the back half. That's his first birdie on the way back to the hut and boy how he's timed that one.

Koepka has the outright lead again!

This is a really great break for Tiger because that was an atrocious tee shot.

  15. Woods in troublepublished at 23:12 British Summer Time 12 August 2018

    T Woods -13 (16)

Uh oh, Tiger Woods is swinging his driver around in anger after unleashing that tee shot and it tells you pretty much everything you need to know...

He sprays it right, and that's creek country. The water runs all the way along the side of the rough and I think Woods might just have dunked his ball in it.

Get the wellies out? No! It's dry, but stuck in what looks a tricky spot of weed-like long grass.

Scott uses his hand as a guide to unpick the contours... broom handle putter out of the bag... good pace... good line... just slips past the left edge. The Aussie rattles in the par putt.

    Over to you Brooksy...

If Koepka keeps giving himself those kinds of opportunities he's going to hole one of them soon.

Adam Scott's ball is safe, in the semi-rough with a nice route to the green. Mid iron in hand, the Aussie likes the feel of it, scampering up the hill to see where he lands. On the green!

He's found the smallest part of the dancefloor to give himself a birdie putt. Sensational stuff.

Koepka has a simpler task, clipping a wedge to within 10 feet. Who can hold their nerve?

The galleries around the 16th green resemble a sold-out comeback tour. It's like Tiger Woods is playing Knebworth...

Gary Woodland is the warm up act.

Around 20 feet out, this would be the longest putt Woods has holed in the tournament. He's made just one in seven attempts beyond 15 feet this week - and this one's for a share of the lead.

That's never dropping, breaking left too early and wobbling in to within a foot or so.

    A tap-in par it is.

"Fore left!" Adam Scott has the galleries ducking for cover on the left hand side of the 15th. The Aussie tries to cut his tee shot on the 495-yard par four but hangs on and sends it way out west.

Brooks Koepka goes down the right... clinging on to the side of the fairway. That's a tight one to the pin which is tucked in the right corner.

Rather have that ball than Scott's though...
