    T Pieters -11 (15)

Another man in the mixer. Thomas Pieters knocks in that birdie putt on the 15th with so much ease it's frightening.

The Belgian moves alongside Tiger Woods and Adam Scott on 11 under. A couple more birdies before he reaches the clubhouse will do him very nicely.

Former Women’s British Open champion on BBC Radio 5 live

Woods was able to hit his favourite shot shape, a fade, because there is no trouble down the right-hand side of the fairway on the 10th.

It's electrifying to have him back in contention - from the crowd on the fairways, to the media, everyone is talking about him

    J Thomas -12 (11)

Justin Thomas is playing whack-a-mole with the Bellerive spectators at the moment - a second successive tee shot that sends fans sprawling.

Wouldn't back against him rescuing it after back-to-back birdies, mind.

    Anything you can do...

Brooks Koepka, the sound of the Tiger and Thomas' successes ringing in the background, rolls in a birdie putt of his own to hold on to the outright lead.

Are you keeping up? Just breathe...

    T Pieters -10 (14)

Thomas Pieters may be running out of holes but he's determined to make the most of them. The tall Belgian effortlessly lands his approach on the par-four 15th within 15 feet. Tweet tweet?

  7. Birdie for Thomaspublished at 21:33 British Summer Time 12 August 2018

    J Thomas -12 (11)

How about that from Justin Thomas! Way up on a bank with a tree plonked right in front of him after stinging a wayward drive into the spectators, and he just scuttles a little chip down the slope and on to the fringes.

And then it gets even better... the world number two rolls in for birdie. He moves to 12 under.

    J Rahm -10 (8)

Here's Jonny! Back-to-back birdies for Rahm, who cans a short putt on the eighth, moving him into a four-way tie for third. More moving and shaking than a young entrepreneurs' convention.

    T Woods -11 (9)

I'd be surprised if you didn't hear that roar at home...

Bellerive erupts as Woods saunters in a birdie putt from 10 feet to move within one shot of the lead.

    This is mad.

Tiger being Tiger, pulls his tee shot left at nine and gets a sea of spectators dancing again.

They go absolutely mad as he strolls over to it and lashes an approach up on to the dancefloor.

Never mind Tiger, I'm not sure the Bellerive fans can keep up this level of intense whooping and hollering until Woods reaches the 18th... it's out-of-your-seat, bouncing around stuff every time he strikes a ball.

    J Thomas -11 (10)

Ouchy, Justin Thomas just rolled in a birdie at the 10th to go within one shot of the lead, but he has now nailed a spectator at the 11th...

"Give me a good lie, give me a good lie," he says.

Not sure where that's landed, or about the lie, but it's come via the hat of an unsuspecting man seated on a bank.

Ed Chambers: Lot of talk about Tiger winning his last major 10 years ago. How about Molinari sneaking under the radar to win the Open and the PGA in the same summer, a decade after Harrington did the same thing. Journeymen come good.

  13. Hatton 'definitely not' hanging aroundpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 12 August 2018

    T Hatton -9 (F)

Here's Tyrrell Hatton, who finished on nine under after a round of 64 on Sunday: "I was in the fairway a lot more often, I've hit my irons well all week but had struggled off the tee.

"Thankfully holed a few putts, still missed a few but that's going to happen. Very happy with how today went.

Asked if he will be hanging around in case of a play-off, Hatton added: "Definitely not. There are plenty of birdie opportunities out there. The only thing that would stop the guys is the greens, they are getting quite spiked up. I'm just hoping to stay inside the top 10."

  14. Birdie for Pieterspublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 12 August 2018

    T Pieters -10 (14)

Bellerive is an ornithologist's dream. Birdies all over the place.

Belgium's Thomas Pieters grabs his fourth of the round, knocking on to the 14th green from a fairway bunker and then dinking in the birdie putt.

Somewhere on the course Thomas Bjorn is rubbing his hands.

    F Molinari -9 (11)

Anyone ruling out the Champion Golfer of the Year? Thought not.

Francesco Molinari knows what it takes to grind out the holes while those around him are floundering.

The Italian is starting to up the tempo, agonisingly missing a putt on the 11th for a third birdie on the spin.

  16. Birdie for Woodspublished at 21:18 British Summer Time 12 August 2018

    T Woods -10 (8)

No mistake from Woods. He drowns a birdie putt at eight. He's yet to hit a fairway today, but is two under for the day. And two off the lead again.

  17. Koepka extends leadpublished at 21:16 British Summer Time 12 August 2018

    B Koepka -12 (7)

Beefy drive, crisp approach and composed putting - Brooks Koepka, having steadied the ship after back-to-back bogeys, increases his advantage at the top of the leaderboard to two strokes again.

    Just how he started.

A confident-looking birdie that rolls in from nine feet.

  18. Birdie for Rahmpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 12 August 2018

    J Rahm -9 (7)

Jon Rahm... many thought this could be his day... he's not firing quite yet.

However... a monster drive on the 397-yard, par-four seventh enables him to guide half a wedge to eight feet. He knocks that in with ease to earn his first birdie of the day.

Back level for the day, nine under for the tournament.

    Cash out prices increase everywhere.

  19. Woods sets up birdie chancepublished at 21:14 British Summer Time 12 August 2018

    T Woods -9 (7)

Tiger Woods has actually found a greenside bunker with that meaty wood from the rough, but it matters not a jot as he flops out to within a putter's length of the cup.

Should trickle this one in for a birdie at the par five...

  20. Postpublished at 21:13 British Summer Time 12 August 2018

    S Lowry -9 (9)

Shane Lowry completes his opening nine with a birdie, putting him one under for the day and nine under overall - just two shots back.

    Lurking.
