  1. Koepka one up on Caseypublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Casey v Koepka 1UP (13)

Brooks Koepka is nails. I think we can agree on that. Have you seen his biceps? But he's got a deft touch with putter in hand too, as he drains a 20 footer for birdie on 13.

That takes him one up on Paul Casey.

  2. 'Fleetwood in an unenviable position'published at 13:56 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Fleetwood v Finau 5 UP (9)

    Craig Connelly
PGA & European Tour caddie for BBC Radio 5 live

There's no point in losing it. You only do yourself more harm by losing it.

Tommy Fleetwood is in an unenviable position right now but anything is possible in this game and he can get it back starting on the next hole.

  3. Finau five up on Fleetwoodpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Fleetwood v Finau 5 UP (9)

Francesco Molinari and Tomy Fleetwood are in a race to become the first European golfer to score five points out of five but it looks the Italian is the only likely one to achieve that record.

That's because Tony Finau is now five up on Fleetwood after rolling in a 10-footer for birdie on nine.

Molinari is three up on Phil Mickelson.

  4. Rahm halves 10published at 13:56 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    1 UP Rahm v Woods (10)

Tiger Woods misses his birdie putt, uphill and 30 feet, on the 10th. Jon Rahm has a putt from two feet to share the hole.

That was as wobbly as Butterbean's waistline.

But it finally drops after an entire tour of the rim of the hole.

  6. Rory pinned back after missed puttpublished at 13:52 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    McIlroy A/S Thomas

In the opening match, Rory McIlroy chips to about four feet for a birdie chance. But Justin Thomas has a 20-footer for eagle. That goes wide and McIlroy tells him to pick up.

And yet. McIlroy steps up and misses. Oh man, this match is ebbing and flowing.

    Back to all-square.

Keith: Looking good for Europe at the moment but we could do with three points from those first four to really get the momentum going. Don't want it going down to the last match.

Matt: One of the biggest factors in this Ryder cup has been the wildcard picks. Needless to say Thomas Bjorn was spot on and Jim Furyk got it horribly horribly wrong.

  8. Rose stays three downpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Rose v Simpson 3 UP (11)

    Goodbye England's Rose?

Justin needs to get on his bike sharpish.

This is a good chance. He has a 10-footer on the par-three 11th to strike back at Webb Simpson.

Not by a long chalk. His pot trails away right. It just isn't happening for him today.

    Hole halved.

  9. Molinari mashing Mickelsonpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    3 UP Molinari v Mickleson (5)

A short putt for Francesco Molinari on the fifth earns a par and takes the Open winner to three up over Phil Mickelson after five holes.

  10. 'Majestic Tiger'published at 13:46 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    1 UP Rahm v Woods (9)

    Oliver Wilson
Former Ryder Cup player on BBC Radio 5 live

That fairway iron on nine was by far the best shot I've seen this week. It was majestic, the Tiger Woods of old. His shot landed absolutely perfectly, so softly.

There was about ten feet to land it on. He went straight down the middle at the flag. It was a phenomenal effort.

That was a shot that only very few players in the world can hit. He took full advantage, at a time he needed to get something going. That's the most energy I've seen, after he holed the putt, the fist pump was there and he trotted off the green looking pretty strong.

  11. Poulter restores lead over Johnsonpublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    1 Up Poulter v Johnson (7)

A par for Ian Poulter on the seventh restores the European's lead over Dustin Johnson.

One up. Plenty of blue on the board now.

  12. Stenson moves one up on Watsonpublished at 13:45 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    1 UP Stenson v Watson (3)

Henrik Stenson makes early inroads into Bubba Watson with a birdie four on the par-five third.

  13. Woods cuts Rahm lead to onepublished at 13:44 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    1 UP Rahm v Woods (9)

Jon Rahm, the build of a butcher, the touch of a surgeon, as he tickles a little greenside iron to within four feet

That keeps the pressure on Tiger Woods who needs this 10-footer to cut the Spaniard's lead to one.

That was a fist pump from the mid-noughties Tiger! The ball disappears and he is back in touch.

    Casey A/S Koepka (12)

Brooks Koepka finds his range from 12 feet with a birdie on 12. He drags it back to all-square with Paul Casey, who missed the green.

  15. McIlroy goes one uppublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    McIlroy 1 UP v Thomas (13)

A rare slip from Justin Thomas lets Rory McIlroy in on 13. Rory only needs a par, as Thomas takes three putts for bogey after both hit decent approaches.

  16. Olesen moves three uppublished at 13:39 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    3 UP Olesen v Spieth

Man of the day so far for Europe? He is in with a shout.

Danish rookie Jordan Spieth is putting Jordan Spieth in his box, winning a third successive hole with a short putt.

Spieth is helping him along though with three straight bogeys opening the door.

  17. Fleetwood four downpublished at 13:37 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    Fleetwood v Finau 4 UP (8)

Tony Finau is ripping into this on his Ryder Cup debut as he goes four up on Tommy Fleetwood. Finau plops one in from 12 feet and is in command.

  18. Rory not giving an inchpublished at 13:35 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    McIlroy A/S Thomas (12)

In the opening match, Rory McIlroy versus Justin Thomas is turning into a brilliant watch. Neither player is giving an inch, as Thomas sticks it to 12 feet on the 13th, while McIlroy spins it back to about eight feet.

  19. Thomas' experience has shownpublished at 13:34 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

    McIlroy A/S Thomas (12)

    Jamie Donaldson
Ryder Cup 2014 winner for BBC Radio 5 live

Justin Thomas playing here in in the French Open has shown. I just don't understand it, the French Open is a well respected golf tournament, always gets a good field there should have been more of the Americans that came and played it.

Is it arrogance or ignorance, I don't know. I just feel more of them should have come and played

You have to find out what's important. This is the Ryder Cup. This is arguably the best tournament in the world and if they didn't come then I'd have got them to play here earlier or later, just before, so they knew where they are going and what they are doing.

  20. Latest scorespublished at 13:32 British Summer Time 30 September 2018

If it were to finish like this, which it won't, obviously, Europe would win the Cup by a healthy 17.5-10.5 margin.

    Miles to go yet.
