A few cries of “it’s coming home...” from the giant grandstand looking down on the 18th green.
Only the four years of hurt this time.
The songs here could go on long into the Parisien night - except the MC is trying to encourage the fans to leave! Spoil sport.

Everyone wants a touch of the cup. This crowd will happily hang around all day for every European player to lift it. It’s an ole-fest right now. Party time.

And without further ado, Thomas Bjorn accepts the trophy and holds it aloft after an elongated "Teeeeeeaaamm Eurrooooooope" introduction from David Ginola.
Each player punches the air with the Ryder Cup as the crowd cheers in unison.
Right, let's get on it lads! Anyone going in the lake? The crowd want it.

The US players are now making their way along the European team individually giving each other hugs and plenty of well dones.
Thomas Bjorn and his team edge closer to the Ryder Cup trophy as David Ginola says: "She looks very nice."
Bjorn says: "I can't say enough about my team, they made it very easy for me. I can't be more proud of them. It was down to determination. They wanted it really badly."
Aye, aye.
David Ginola is back and giving it le grand one with mic in hand. "Ole, ole, ole" rings out as he asks the crowd if they've enjoyed themselves.
The response suggests they have.
"This was the greatest venue," says Jim Furyk. We cannot argue with that. He commends his team and congratulates Thomas Bjorn and the European team.
He may have a dodgy swing, but Furyk chooses his words well.

Each European player is kitted out in their own country’s flag or scarf. Most have been jigging away the last few minutes while music played as the presentation was prepared.
The Americans look pretty dejected with their red caps, blazers and white trousers.
And talking of finishing the Ryder Cup the way they started it, David Ginola is back!

US team captain Jim Furyk on whether knowledge of the course was a factor: "Their knowledge of it was a key and feather in their cap. The set-up, they felt it favoured their games but that’s part of the Ryder Cup, there’s always that home course advantage.
"You could round up a bunch of different points but if you don’t mention the Europeans play or what Thomas Bjorn did as a captain foremost, I would give them all the credit in the world."
Who said these Ryder Cup's were tense affairs? The only thing missing at the end of all that was Kool and the Gang at the side of the 18th green.

The Ryder Cup began on Friday morning to the sound of dance tunes blaring out from the speakers by the huge grandstand. Bleary-eyed spectators didn’t know whether to dance or grab a coffee.
It’s a similar vibe as it’s coming to a close, with deafening music ringing around Le Golf National.
Except now there’s no mistake, everyone is dancing - and most have moved on to something stronger than coffee...

As the sun sets on Le Golf National, the Ryder Cup organisers are getting the presentation ready on the 18th green. The green keeper must be having kittens.
He deserves a pint or 10. What a course it has been this week.
I'd say it's the best course I've ever seen in a Ryder Cup. Let's get it back again asap.
Aye aye, the European boys are back in their suits, with their country's flag draped around their shoulders. Tonight is going to be a right knees-up.

Europe's Alex Noren speaking to Sky Sports: "It is almost easier to play when the guys have already done the job, I am very happy. I just tried to finish off well. It is hard to describe. I almost cried after my win on the first day, you want to do well for the people around you."

US captain Jim Furyk speaking to BBC Radio 5 live: "The easiest way to look at it is the European team did a great job. Thomas Bjorn is a wonderful captain. He had them organised into pairs that were difficult to beat and his players responded. When we put heat on them they responded and were able to neutralise that."
"It’s part of the process to go over it and I’ll work on that with PGA of America and our Ryder Cup committee. We will think about what could've been done better, and try to grow learn and improve."

How about that!
The perfect finish to the perfect week for Europe.
Alex Noren holes a monster putt to put the cherry on top of the Ryder Cup cake and Le Golf National goes bananas once more.
Unbelievable.

Simon: Europe copied the England cricket team top order collapse then the middle order pulled us out of the mire
Anon: Was this the least used 18th hole in Ryder Cup history and only one match finishing all square?
Mike: Our mother sadly passed away last night from Cancer. An absolute fiend for the Ryder Cup, especially the Ian Poulter chest thump. She'd be loving this.
Our condolences are with you Mike. Glad your Mum would have approved.
Noren beats DeChambeau 1 UP
Alex Noren wins the final match 1 UP with a monster putt from about 40 feet. What a way to finish.
He wins 1 Up over Bryson DeChambeau and is mobbed by his European team-mates, who cover him in alcohol.
