Let's look at the reaction to Tiger Woods's remarkable victory at Augusta....

A 15th major victory assured, wild celebrations with his family, friends and thousands of people he had never met.

Only one thing left - to slip into the most famous jacket in sporting history.

Woods followed up that birdie on 15 by rattling in another on 16. That moved him to 14 under and a two-shot lead. It was ON.

Molinari had another nightmare when he went swimming on the 15th, allowing Tiger to take an outright lead which he would not relinquish...

Eagle putts from Molinari and Woods fail to trouble the trapdoor on the 13th, but both walked off to the next tee scribbling down a birdie on the card.

So that made a three-way tie between Molinari, Woods and Xander Schauffele.

Francesco Molinari pegs up first on the 12th... two practice swings, mental rehearsal done... oh no!!

A casual swing leaves it under-hit, landing on the bank and reversing into the water.

Odds on Tiger to make that mistake? Slim. Woods hit the green and earned his par, while Molinari double bogeyed. All square..

After dropping shots on four and five, Woods watched Molinari convert his birdie putt on eight to move two clear.

Not a flicker of emotion from Woods as he follows suit to cling onto Molly's coattail.

After starting the final round two shots behind overnight leader Francesco Molinari, it was Woods who made the first on the par-four third.

Molinari missed a putt and you could only hear silence... until Woods sent the ball south!

That was the first birdie of the day in the final group and it went on the card of the 14-time major champion.

Jack Nicklaus - 18 time major winner - tweets: "A big 'well done' from me to Tiger Woods! I am so happy for him and for the game of golf. This is just fantastic."

Tiger Woods is speaking to the media at Augusta National: "I had the spinal fusion surgery. It was not a fun time, a tough couple of years. But I was able to start participating in life again, be around my kids again, take them to school. Golf was not in my near future or distant future.

"I knew I would be part of the game but playing the game, I couldn't even putt in the back yard with my son.

"After the surgery I started feeling a lot better. The doctor said I could chip again, then start swinging. Then he said I could hit driver in a couple of weeks.

"I hit driver, let's say it carried 90 yards. I was apprehensive. I started ramping up, playing , getting a feel for golf again. I then played some rounds with Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, they were fantastic in the process of helping me along.

"I wouldn't say this is an amazing story but in order to have had the success I have had, I have had a lot of support."

So number 15 has finally arrived. And the Golden Bear will be looking over his shoulder again.

After probably thinking he was safe, Jack Nicklaus is being hunted by Tiger Woods.

How many more will Woods get? Or will that simply be a final swansong?

Tiger Woods on the competition he faced in Sunday's final round: "I was as patient as I have been in years. I kept control of my emotions, shots, placement.

"To see that leaderboard it was a who's who. And it all flipped at 12, Francesco made a mistake. All these scenarios started flying around.

"It was an amazing buzz out there to figure what was going on while staying present an focused on what I needed to do."
