  1. Thomas takes leadpublished at 20:12 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Thomas -13 (11)

That Justin Thomas putt is a little longer than I initially thought, but that doesn't matter... the American has the line and the pace and in it rolls! Eagle for Thomas, and he soars into the outright lead at Sawgrass. Magnificent.

  2. Europeans hanging in therepublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Fitzpatrick -9, Garcia -9 (13)

We've not seen too much of Matt Fitzpatrick this evening but the Englishman is still in with a shout here.

Lengthy birdie look on the short 13th misses on the low side but he's in for par.

His playing partner is Sergio Garcia. The Spaniard knocks in a short birdie putt. He's gone double bogey, birdie, bogey, birdie on the back nine.

  3. Postpublished at 20:10 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Westwood -12, DeChambeau -9 (10)

Lee Westwood with the deftest of putts to just run the ball down the 10th green, but it can't quite find the target and he'll have to settle for par.

    Plenty lurking behind him now...

    Thomas -11 (10)

Justin Thomas is flying right now.

Successive birdies for the American and he has a look at eagle now on the par-five 11th. Twenty-ish feet to take him into the lead...

  5. Thomas moves within onepublished at 20:00 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Thomas -11 (10)

Lee Westwood's two-shot advantage didn't last long, it's just been cut in half by Justin Thomas with a birdie at 10 - that's two on the bounce for the American, his putter is warming up nicely...

  7. Clubhouse target setpublished at 19:58 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Conners -10 (F)

Nerves? What nerves. Corey Conners drills his tee shot down the middle of the 18th. A bit of adrenaline behind that one.

Just a wedge left and he fires that pin-high, a dozen feet to the right.

Can he get to 11? No. But that's a simple par and a Sunday 66 for the Canadian.

    Will it be enough?

  8. Leaderboardpublished at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    -12 L Westwood (9)

    -10 C Conners (17), T Gooch (13), J Thomas (9)

    -9 S Lowry (14), R Palmer (13), S Garcia (11) B Harman (10), P Casey (10), B DeChambeau (9)

  9. Westwood moves two clearpublished at 19:54 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Westwood -12, DeChambeau -9 (9)

Lovely from Lee Westwood, and he has a great chance to finish the front nine the same way he started, with a birdie.

It's a two-footer, and he pops it straight down the throat of the cup to move to 12 under par, two clear of the chasing pack.

Bryson DeChambeau's tricky bunker shot catches the lip and just sticks on top, almost had it. Should be a par for the American.

  10. Rahm's race donepublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    -8 Rahm, -9 Casey (10)

Jon Rahm gives his thigh a punch as his par putt on the 10th drifts off to the left.

The Spaniard will not be lifting the trophy in a couple of hours.

His playing partner Paul Casey is hanging in there though. A 20-footer for birdie pulls up just short but he's only two back.

  11. Postpublished at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Westwood -11, DeChambeau -9 (8)

Westwood says he couldn't get any height off the downslope to go over the trees, so tried to go round it, and does so pretty nicely. His second on the par-five ninth bobbles to the right of the green, avoiding two lurking bunkers.

Bryson DeChambeau leathers a five iron some 274 yards into a bunker on the left of the green.

  14. Par for Connerspublished at 19:43 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Conners -10 (17)

Corey Conners is on the 17th. The signature hole. The island hole.

It's playing 133 yards today and the pin is tucked away on the right. The sensible option is to hit the middle of the green.

Conners does just that but his ball skips forward and is only stopped from getting wet by the yard-wide rough that circles the green.

He trickles his putt down and across the slope but the ball is never threatening the hole and he holes a gutsy five footer for par.

  15. Gooch risingpublished at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Gooch -10 (13)

There are about a dozen players who could still win this.

Talor Gooch is the latest to suddenly appear at the top end of the leaderboard.

The American has birdied four of his last seven holes and is just one adrift of Lee Westwood.

  16. Birdie for Thomaspublished at 19:41 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Thomas -10 (9)

We saw a remarkable eagle from Justin Thomas at the 16th yesterday. He's just given himself a chance at another at the ninth - it's a long one, around 30 feet, but hole it and he'll take a share of the lead... nope, no eagle but a birdie that takes the American within one.

  17. Westwood lead cut to onepublished at 19:39 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Westwood -11, DeChambeau -9 (8)

Out of the sand comes Lee Westwood, tricky bunker shot and he'll face a tricky par-saver too. He doesn't make it, that's a bogey and the lead is cut to one.

It's a bogey for Bryson DeChambeau too.

  18. Plenty chasing...published at 19:36 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Kim -9 (11)

There are currently eight players at nine under par - one of them is former Players champion Si Woo Kim, who has just missed the chance to pull clear of that pack after watching his birdie putt flirt with the cup at 11. He remains three back.

One ahead of those chasers are Corey Connors and Bryson DeChambeau, while Lee Westwood is still sitting pretty, despite a rough ride on Sunday so far.

  19. Golfing gods not smiling on Caseypublished at 19:35 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Casey -9 (9)

Five minutes ago, Paul Casey was looking in good nick on the par-five ninth. He laid up with his second, leaving himself with 85 yards to the hole.

However, his ball was in a divot hole and that played havoc with this third as he chunked it 30 yards short into the cabbage. His fourth came out hot, leaving a 30-footer for par that proved too much.

Instead of looking likely to put pressure on Lee Westwood, he's again dropping back.

  20. Garcia at the (wrong) doublepublished at 19:32 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Garcia -8 (10)

Sergio Garcia's race looks like it may be run. A chip up the green and then two putts from there. A double-bogey six sees him drop away.
