Retired champion jockey AP McCoy will not have a ride in the Grand National for the first time in 20 years.
"I'm jealous of all the other riders," McCoy tells BBC World Service.
You can listen to the full interview, and more from jockeys Leighton Aspell and Katie Walsh, during the Sportsworld programme from Aintree between 1500 and 1600 BST.
Maghull Novices' Chase
Next on the card is the Maghull Novices' Chase. After his win with Yorkhill in the last race, trainer Willie Mullins has another white-hot favourite.
Douvan offers only the skinniest value at 1-6 after winning at Cheltenham.
French raider Alisier D'irlande might offer the stiffest competition, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
Three-time winner Red Rum's final resting place is just past the Aintree finishing post.
And a regular stream of racegoers are paying him a visit and paying their respects.

"Very well handicapped, The Last Samuri was very impressive when winning at Doncaster last time. Has enjoyed a perfect preparation."

"It's a bit like Groundhog Day as punters get stuck into Shutthefrontdoor, sent off 6-1 favourite last year when the final Grand National ride of retiring 20-time champion jockey AP McCoy.
"McCoy finished fifth but the horse, trained by Jonjo O'Neill for owner JP McManus, has been backed from 25-1 into 10-1 in the last 24 hours. Barry Geraghty takes the ride this time.
"Last year's winner Many Clouds still remains the favourite to follow up at about 8-1, with other leading contenders including The Last Samuri at 11-1 and 14-1 chance Holywell."

"The brollies are going up at Aintree as light rain falls at the Merseyside track."
Hats on everyone.
The heavens have opened at Aintree.
Not a full hosing, but a fair old sprinkle.
Trainer Willie Mullins to Channel 4 Racing: "The horse gave Paul an awful ride and I thought that he had lost it when he went all over the place off the last.
"I think Cheltenham took its toll on him. We'll take a look at him for Punchestown, but we might put him away for the year."
It was a ragged old ride by Yorkhill, scrappy over the fences and inconsistent in pace, but he had the pace to see off the challenge of Le Prezien and Flying Angel after clearing the last.

1. Yorkhill 3-10 (Paul Townend)
2. Le Prezien 8-1 (Sam Twiston-Davies)

BBC Radio 5 Live
BBC Radio 5 live arrived at Aintree before the winning jockey was even awake this morning.
5 live Breakfast - with Eleanor Oldroyd - was broadcast live from the course from 06:00 BST.
The baton has now passed to Mark Pougatch and 5 live Sport who will have commentary - via the ever-excellent John Hunt and Luke Harvey - on the big race at 17:15 BST.
Before then they will be wagging chins with Andrew Thornton, who will be riding in his 14th National, and bringing you coverage of all the day's earlier races over the National fences.
That didn't take long.
Trevor Whelan is back in the seat on The Romford Pele having previously been bumped out after O'Faolains Boy's withdrawal.
Some mornings you roll out of bed and just don't quite feel the full ticket.
Unfortunately for O'Faolains Boy that day was the biggest of his racing career so far.
The nine-year-old, a winner of the RSA Chase in 2014 and a 33-1 shot for today's big race, has been pulled out of the race by trainer Rebecca Curtis.
The deadline for any standbys to step up and fill in for any non-runners went by at 13:00 BST Friday so the field is down to 39 runners.
