"Khabib has let his team down, he's let his fans down. This is an absolute disgrace what he has done here"
The champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is back in the octagon. He might have retained his lightweight title here, but his actions following the fight have overshadowed everything.
UFC president Dana White has refused to put the belt on the Russian.
Bruce Buffer then announces Khabib Nurmagomedov the winner by rear naked choke, and it's greeted by a chorus of boos from the crowd.
I've never seen anything like this.

"He's spoiled his performance by reacting the way he has. His performance was fantastic, he beat Conor McGregor up for four rounds but he has spoiled that here."

We knew there was bad blood going into this. We can see all kinds of chaos going on in and around and the cage. Normally when the build-up is over we some respect at the end but not here.
This is not over.
Nurmagomedov wins
Incredible. After the fight, Khabib Nurmagomedov went over the cage and appeared to attack someone in the crowd.
Then, someone from the Russian's camp appeared to attack the beaten Conor McGregor inside the octagon.
Ugly, chaotic scenes.
Round 4
It's all over!
The champion retains his lightweight title by submission.
After transitioning to a back mount, the Russian locks in a choke and Conor McGregor taps out.
Round 4
Here we go again. McGregor comes forward and almost lands with a big left. Nurmagomedov wills him on with a "come on gesture".
The Russian then goes for yet another takedown, and pins McGregor against the cage. He locks his arms around McGregor from behind and takes him down to the canvas. Once more, the champion is in complete control.

"Conor is starting to show some fatigue now for sure. Khabib is getting him to work at a level where his heart-rate is racing."
Round 3
This is promising from Conor McGregor. He lands a few punches whilst Nurmagomedov appears to have stopped going for takedowns. Is the Russian tiring?
Just as I type that, the champion grapples McGregor once more against the side of the cage, much to the annoyance of the crowd. They want what Conor McGregor wants. A fist fight.
Round 3
Conor McGregor has never knocked anyone out in the UFC after the second round.
The Irishman is sporting a swollen eye, but he's started on the front foot in the third round. He defends a takedown and lands an elbow on the champion. Better from McGregor.
Round 2
The Russian is putting on a grappling masterclass here. All McGregor could do was cover up for most of that round, but somehow he manages to scramble to his feet.
Nurmagomedov clings on like a pitbull however, keeping McGregor trapped against the cage. The champion is relentless.
The horn goes for the end of the second round.
Round 2
Khabib Nurmagomedov is landing some heavy ground and pound on Conor McGregor - this is not a place the Irishman wants to be. The champion is stood up and raining down bombs on McGregor, the Irishman is in a bad way...
Round 2
At the end of the first round, Conor McGregor's coach told him that's the best Nurmagomedov has to offer.
Nurmagomedov lands a huge right that rocks McGregor right at the start of the second round! The Irishman composes himself and responds with a knee, before the Russian takes the fight back to the ground. The champion is well on top here.
Round 1
The champion is putting on a grappling masterclass so far. He's keeping Conor McGregor down, and landing some punches. This will be tiring for the Irishman, even if he's not taken any heavy damage...
The judges will have liked that first round from the Russian.
Dan Hardy

"Khabib's trying to hold Conor's leg but Conor McGregor's balance is incredible."
"This is absolutely what we expected from Khabib, he has both his legs in a triangle around Conor's leg."
Round 1
It doesn't take Khabib Nurmagomedov long to go for Conor McGregor's legs - he manages to take the Irishman down and they're pressed against the cage. The crowd don't like it - they're booing.
But McGregor's in a fairly comfortable position, he's in a place close-quarters on the canvas where he can't take much damage.
The champion is in control - it isn't spectacular, but it's effective.
"IT'S TIME!"
Bruce Buffer has done his introductions. The fighters don't touch gloves - no love lost here.
Conor McGregor v Khabib Nurmagomedov. Let's do this.
Part of what makes tonight's main event so interesting is the clash of styles.
MMA writer Nick Peet says Conor McGregor "stands tall and strikes heavy from a southpaw stance", whereas Khabib Nurmagomedov is a "battle-hardened grappler, who likes to rag-doll his opponents around the cage."
Which way will the fight go? We're about to find out...
Dan Hardy
Former UFC fighter on BBC Radio 5 live
"He needs this atmosphere, he needs this test. This fight is the biggest test he could possibly have."
