"We get to see once more what he was put on the planet to do. Man, I'm so excited."
Conor McGregor enters the octagon with his signature walk. You know the one - he leans back with raised knees and elbows. He looks very confident, as you'd expect.
Now here comes Khabib Nurmagomedov, in his signature papakha hat . Boos greet the champion - there are a lot of McGregor fans here in Las Vegas tonight.
Here comes Conor McGregor...
Sinead O'Connor's Foggy Dew rings out around the arena, as green light spills out across the octagon. McGregor is draped in an Irish flag and he mouths "home sweet home" as he makes his way out.
Big-fight feels...
It's the backdrop to many a McGregor entrance - the song Notorious, by Duran Duran.
Did you know? He wasn't even born when the song was released in 1986. It peaked at number seven in the UK singles chart.
Altogther now...
You own the money, you control the witnessI hear you're lonely, don't monkey with my business
Four-time major champion Rory McIlroy is in the house, and has just been pictured live on BT Sport saying 'Come on Conor' ahead of the big fight.

Khabib Nurmagomedov once wrestled a bear when he was a child? Yep, an actual bear.
There's footage of the Russian grappling with the animal on YouTube, and it didn't go unnoticed by Conor McGregor.
Talking to American talk show host Conan O’Brien, McGregor said: "He may have wrestled Dagestani bears, but he has never wrestled an Irish gorilla."
A hard man to impress...

"There is definitely not going to be a touch of gloves here. I will put all of my money on there being no touch of gloves.
"I can't wait, I've got goosebumps all over my body."
Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov actually used to be on good terms back in 2014, as this Twitter exchange, external shows.
If they were friends once, surely then can again after they've settled their differences in the octagon... right?

The time has come now. We've been like kids waiting for Christmas. It's now down to both fighters to see who wins.
It's almost time...

"Tony Ferguson's toughness is absolutely incredible.
"He has put himself into a position now where he can call out the winner of the main event."
This fight has exploded into life in the second round!
The two trade blows through the round - elbows, rights, lefts, uppercuts - they're both smiling and there's blood from both fighters everywhere. This is incredible!
At the end of all that, Anthony Pettis' corner calls it off due to the fighter having a broken hand.
Winner Tony Ferguson then raises his beaten opponent's hand in the middle of the octagon in a great show of sportsmanship.
We're under way in the penultimate fight of the night.

"He's looking around the arena now, thinking he could have been the one to fight Conor McGregor in the main event."
Tony Ferguson was due to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223 for the UFC lightweight title, before tearing his fibular collateral ligament.
Away from the Conor McGregor hype train for a second, there's an eye-catching bout up next which could hold great significance for the main event.
Meet fellow lightweight Tony Ferguson - the man who was due to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223 before a knee injury ended his plans.
He takes on Anthony Pettis, with the winner standing a good chance of facing the victor of the McGregor-Nurmagomedov fight, providing there is no rematch.
Ferguson's prediction for the main event?
"Double knockout. I hope they knock each other out."
Mixed martial arts calls for brave hearts - so no surprise to see actor Mel Gibson in the crowd.
Mel is 62 now. Looks good on it, though, eh?
Dominick Reyes floors Ovince Saint Preux with a big left hand, right at the end of the third round. He walks away, hands in the air whilst Saint Preux lies unmoved on his back. Fight over, right? Wrong.
The horn signalling the end of the bout sounded whilst Saint Preux was down, so the result goes to the judges.
In the end it's irrelevant as American Reyes wins via unanimous decision anyway. He remains unbeaten in his MMA career.
Andrew Barratt: McGregor all day, Khabib couldn't put the last challenger away Al Laq and Conor is a lot more dangerous!
Johny Magrinho: McGregor is a voice. An angry, tiresome, petulant voice, soon to be drowned out by the roar of a bigger storm. His downfall is inevitable not because he is weak or a poor fighter, but because he cannot possibly fathom he could ever be either of those things.
Ukranam: I think McGregor’s comeback will be short-lived just like Ronda Rousey’s. It won’t be that short I think but won’t be too long.
Daniel Cormier is currently the number one pound-for-pound athlete in the UFC, according to its fighter rankings, and he's firmly behind Khabib Nurmagomedov tonight.
Not a bad guy to have in your corner...
