    The margins are very fine.

The Roses today just have this aura about them and that belief that even if we're down, we can find a way to claw it back.

Plenty of patience to play it around, reset and go again.

Eleanor Cardwell looks completely confused as she is pulled for contact under the post and the Diamonds have another chance to edge out their lead with less than a minute to go.

Tough to break down that England defence but they get there eventually.

Jade Clarke is such a brilliant person and that really shows in her leadership.

She is good in big moments - we've seen her step up time and time again.

Why would you not want your most-capped player, who is in amazing form, to be on the court? Jade will steady the ship.

  15. 'Interesting Australia change'published at 17:40 British Summer Time 6 August 2023

    Beth Cobden
Former England player on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

It's an interesting change for Australia.

Cara Koenen has had a really solid game. Sophie Garbin is more of a holding shooter and she's not massively tall for the netball world.

We've not seen her play as much in these big games so it's a lot of pressure for her. It will be interesting to see how she goes in this game.

  16. Postpublished at 17:40 British Summer Time 6 August 2023

    Q2: England 19-20 Australia

A couple of turnovers have gone against England with Imogen Allison doing all the graft but coming out on the wrong side of the call.

But Fran Williams comes up with something out of nowhere again, snatching the ball away from Sophie Garbin from Liz Watson's feed into the circle.

An uncharacteristic miss from Eleanor Cardwell but she gets it at the second attempt.

  18. 'You can't be passive for any moment'published at 17:38 British Summer Time 6 August 2023

    BBC Sport

Australia head coach Stacey Marinkovich speaking on BBC TV: "We haven't really changed style, we are just trying to execute what we are good at.

"It is a tight tussle out there, there's a lot of bodies and we just need to try and keep in the line of the ball.

"There is a little bit of whistle but at the same time in the last few games England have had 70 penalties so we knew that it could be stop, start.

"The way the teams battle for each ball, you've got to make good decisions.

"We've got to play hard. You've got to run hard to have control and you can't be passive at any moment."

    Q2: England 18-20 Australia

Change for Australia. On comes shooter Sophie Garbin for Cara Koenen.

A change they didn't make on Thursday but someone who has been shooting really well this tournament.

  20. Postpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 6 August 2023

    Q2: England 18-19 Australia

Good pressure from England - Steph Wood lines up the shot but doesn't fancy it. Cara Koenen eventually sinks it but it's good stuff from the Roses.

Umpires are allowing quite a lot of 'contesting', shall we say, to happen. It's good to see, we don't want the whistle going every two seconds.
