Former England head coach Tracey Neville speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live: "I think that England now with the players they have, they have that [element of] fear - world class shooting, world class defending, an experienced mid-court of Clarke, Allison and Metcalf.

"If you think about a World Cup final, the individual match-ups are very, very exciting. I think whoever has the best performing forward players on the court will win, and I think this England squad carry those at the moment, and they are really up for producing a stellar performance today.

"They are in a really good place as a team and performance-wise too. For me they just have to stick to task, do their own jobs and they will blow this game away."

  3. Team news - England stick with tried and tested sevenpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 6 August 2023

    England v Australia (17:00 BST)

England head coach Jess Thirlby opts for the same starting seven as the one that started against New Zealand on Saturday and the one that lined up against Australia on Thursday.

It's now tried and tested with those impact subs coming off the bench so I don't think many would've expected anything different today.

Don't forget, Chelsea Pitman, Funmi Fadoju and Liv Tchine have all got completely fresh legs coming into this one having not featured against New Zealand.

Starting seven: GK - Mentor, GD - Guscoth, WD - Malcolm, C - Allison, WA - Metcalf, GA - Housby, GS - Cardwell

Substitutes: Clarke, Pitman, Tchine, Williams, Fadoju

Australia head coach Stacey Marinkovich also opts for the same side that beat Jamaica in the semi-final on Saturday. That means it's also the same two teams that faced off on Thursday, too.

Starting seven: GK - Bruce, GD - Weston, WD - Brazill, C - Hadley, WA - Watson, GA - Wood, GS - Koenen

Substitutes: Klau, Aryang, Price, Garbin, Austin
