  1. Two out of three ain't bad

    North West 200

    It was Alastair Seeley's night yet again as competitive North West 200 racing returned to the Triangle Circuit.

    The 'Wee Wizard' extended his record-breaking number of wins at the event to 26 with victories in both races that took place tonight - the Superbikes followed by the Superstocks.

    Davey Todd was second in both races, with Jeremy McWilliams rolling back the years to finish third in the Superbikes.

    McWilliams was among those who were unhappy when the organisers decided to postpone the third race of the night, the Superstocks, due to "deteriorating conditions and lack of time". It is hoped that that race will go ahead on Saturday, but there has been no official word on as yet.

    Talking of Saturday, we'll be back to do it all over again with a full day of racing that's not to be missed.

  2. They could run two Supertwin races on Saturday - McCallen

    I think safety is paramount and I'm not one to question the decision. It's dropping dark but I believe that they will try to run two Supertwin races on Saturday and I think that is possible. It's sad for tonight and maybe if we had shortened the Superstock race we could have had the Supertwin race but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

  4. Supertwins race postponed

    The Supertwins race has been postponed for tonight due to the conditions.

    Jeremy McWilliams for one is not happy and feels that the race should have gone ahead.

  5. If they want to ride let it go - Farquhar

    It seems like there are a few riders who don't want to race but they have wet tyres. I think if anyone wants to ride then let it go. We will just have to let the organisers decide.

  6. Supertwins warming up

    There may have been some questions about the light, but it looks as if the third race of the night - the Supertwins - is going to go ahead with the bikes warming up in the background as the riders go on the podium after the Superstock race.

    Two sighting laps and a four-lap race is the plan for this one.

    We can hear the low groan of the Supertwins revving up in the background. Looks like we are going for three out of three in a race to beat the fading light.

  8. Seeley ready for a dog fight

    It was nice to see the gap growing so I could ease off where I needed to in the wetter areas. We'll have to re-calibrate for Saturday. The conditions will be better and I'm ready for a dog fight.

  10. Credit to the team - Seeley

    That reminded me of 2012 on the Thursday night. There wasn't a lot of grip and I had a few slides out there. The Yamaha is working well so credit to the team. I will give a shout out to the Mrs [wife Danni] as well, she keeps the ball rolling.

  12. Seeley wins to make it a double

    Alastair Seeley wins again at the North West, this time taking first place in the Superstock race.

    The event's record wins holder hit the front early on and never once looked like he was going to be caught from lap two onwards.

    That's 26 wins in total for the Carrickfergus man and the second of the evening after his success in the Superbikes earlier.

    Davey Todd was well back in second with Richard Cooper in third and Connor Cummings fourth.

    Despite his big lead here, Alastair Seeley will be delighted and relieved to see the chequered flag. It's certainly Seeley's night tonight. He's in complete control in this race.

    Alastair Seeley is still strolling this race and looks well on course for a second win from two races this evening.

    The rain seems to get getting heavier as we head into the last two laps.

  16. Who had Seeley for a Double tonight?

    You can never take anything for granted when you're watching racing in these conditions, but if anyone is going to catch Alastair Seeley then they are going to have to go some to do so.

    Alastair Seeley looks like he is cruising this as he opens up a big lead from Davey Todd after two laps.

    Keep an eye on Richard Cooper in third as he looks to catch Todd.

    Dean Harrison is the latest rider to call it a night in this race and come in.
