It was a bit close for comfort towards the end, but Donegal were able to get over the line against Cavan, and join Armagh at the top of the Division Two table with maximum points taken from their first two games.

Having led by four at half-time, Donegal's lead was cut to a solitary point three times, including late in stoppage time.

The outstanding Oisin Gallen converted a free for his sixth point of the game to grant his side a late insurance score and although Paddy Lynch replied, Donegal held on for the win.

Cavan will be disappointed with the defeat, but there will be plenty of positives to take for Raymond Galligan's side, who pushed the promotion favourites all the way.

Tyrone played with a lack of intensity and were very poor in the second half. They have plenty to work on.
