Loud boos greet the black card shown by David Coldrick to Tyrone fullback Padraig Hampsey. Presumably it's for the earlier tussle with Paddy Lynch.

Michael McKernan, who's hit 0-3 from cornerback, now will have defensive duties on his mind for the next 10 minutes because he's gone in to mark Paddy Lynch.

Penny for Jim McGuinness' thoughts right now. The Donegal manager is in the house to check out who his team will be playing in the Ulster semi-final in seven days time.

If Cavan win, the game will be in Healy Park in Omagh and if Tyrone win, it will be back to Celtic Park - the scene of last night's magnificent victory over Derry.

    How have Tyrone not scored?!

Darragh Canavan with a lovely touch to send Darren McCurry away in the square, but it's well blocked, as is the follow up.

It's desperate stuff and Cavan survive with just the one point, when it really should have been three.

Tyrone, you can see, are just calm and collected. Score after score, getting that separation. Cavan will need to up it in the second half.

The officials are out enjoying the sunshine, and we don't blame them.

The players, on the other hand, are still in their dressing rooms, but hopefully it won't be long until we're back under way.

Tyrone are doing a number on Cavan. You just get that feeling Tyrone have been sitting in the long grass, they've watched that game versus Monaghan, and they've just tightened and tightened the screw as the half has gone on.

Cavan will be really disappointed in the last ten minutes of that first half. They were reduced to pot shots, there was nobody penetrating. There was no real difference in the way they were attacking, everything was ran through the lines.

Tyrone take a breather on the pitch to allow the home side down the tunnel first at half time. The visitors will be well happy with their first-half efforts.

Padraig Hampsey has nullified Cavan dangerman Paddy Lynch while Mattie Donnelly and Brian Kennedy have been excellent in the middle third.

The Tyrone forwards have scored 1-7 between them in the opening 35 minutes.

Today's attendance at Breffni Park is 9,952.

Just off the back of Orla's point, Cavan hot shot Paddy Lynch has yet to hit a single point this afternoon.

He's been suffocated so far by the Tyrone defence.
