There have been some great blocks in the game but it's being played at a ponderous pace.

Cavan are breaking with more speed than Tyrone but the Red Hands have the quality forwards capable of winning this game if they get enough ball.

Both Canavans and McCurry have scored from play already.

It's been a joy to watch. People will give out to me, they want to see goals and points, but it's really nice to see the desire to get in and get a hand in and get a block. Those aren't the easy things to do when you're playing.

When they're getting into these tight pockets, they're so confident that they're going for goal. Most teams would just kick it over the bar and get set for the kick out. When they sniff that danger, that there's a goal on, they're taking it.

I can tell you as a full-back, they're the ones you dream of. Getting the hands in when there's a goal chance and making a massive tackle. It's early in the game but that shows you the threat that Cavan have on the counter when Tyrone turn it over.
