  1. 'Not a good sign for Hickman's bike'published at 14:40 British Summer Time 9 May

    Lee Johnston
    Five-time winner at the NW200

If you can hear that noise that is a blower on Pete [Hickman's] bike and that's not really a good sign if he has gone out and done two laps.

It's not really that hot here, well, it's hot for Northern Ireland!

  2. 'Not quite got the feeling I want yet' - Cooperpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 9 May

Richard Cooper speaking to BBC Sport NI:

"Happy enough, we tried some different settings with the bike and a different clutch set-up for that session there.

"This was, due to the one this morning, a bonus session.

"We have to go back and have a think about what's the best option for the race. The bike is good, I just I would like to improve the corner entry a bit more.

"Not quite got the feeling I want yet, but I'm sure Ryan will sort that out come Saturday."

  3. McCoy 'happy enough' with Supertwinpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 9 May

Gary McCoy speaking to BBC Sport NI:

"Happy enough, we're fourth or fifth in that session on the Supertwin. That's my first time on it this weekend, we're just feeling our way around and I'm happy enough."

  8. When Saturday comes....published at 14:13 British Summer Time 9 May

Unlike previous years, there is no Supertwin race scheduled for Thursday evening's racing so the riders in this category will have to wait for Saturday's opening race before they go out for their opening four-lap joust.

Six races are down for decision on Saturday, and with the sun forecast to shine, it has all the makings of a day to remember.

  9. The fans are out and we're enjoying it'published at 14:09 British Summer Time 9 May

Michael Gahan speaking to BBC Sport NI:

"I am feeling really good. I wish the Supertwin was handling a little bit better and we're down a lot of horsepower compared to the big boys, but we're having fun.

"The fans are out and we're enjoying it."

  10. Off they go...published at 14:08 British Summer Time 9 May

The Supertwins are away for a 30-minute session which will conclude today's practice/qualifying sessions.

  11. Cooper more in the tank?published at 14:07 British Summer Time 9 May

    Lee Johnston
    Five-time winner at the NW200

I was actually looking at Richard Cooper's bike and he made a point of saying earlier he didn't really push in the first session which sounds like he has quite a bit left in the tank for this session.

  12. Conditions 'absolutely perfect'published at 14:03 British Summer Time 9 May

    Jenny Tinmouth
Fastest woman around the IOM TT

This afternoon was their [the Supertwins] more important session and it would be ideal now.

It is absolutely perfect and the track temperatures is going to be ideal now and the wind is down so they're going to be going at it I'm sure.

  13. Supertwins being called...published at 14:02 British Summer Time 9 May

The Superstock session has officially ended and the Supertwins have been called to the grid.

  14. Morris on trying to break 200mph barrierpublished at 13:59 British Summer Time 9 May

Martin Morris speaking to BBC Sport NI:

"I've gone seven seconds faster than last year and I haven't got the race pace going.

"I'm on a new bike, Honda this year and a BMW last year, so it's just adaption to that that's the hardest part.

"Everyone wants to do 200 mile an hour, I did 199.2 mph earlier, which is still not 200!

"Love the place, I don't think I have had a wet day here in two years here!"

  16. 'I think Irwin and Todd on top form will not be beaten by a Superstock'published at 13:49 British Summer Time 9 May

    Philip McCallen
11-time race winner at the NW200

If I was Glenn Irwin and I was beaten by a Superstock, I wouldn't come in, I would drive straight home.

We are talking about a Superstock for number one against the likes of Irwin and [Davey] Todd.

A Superstock could get third place on the grid, but I think Glenn Irwin and Davey Todd on top form will not be beaten by a Superstock, but there could be one in third.

We shouldn't insult Michael Dunlop, who is running third fastest on the Superbike, so it'll be tough for a Superstock to beat those boys but you don't know.

As you say, racing isn't over until the flag drops.

  18. 'That BMW has some power'published at 13:43 British Summer Time 9 May

    Jenny Tinmouth
Fastest woman around the IOM TT

Davey [Todd's] lap time was pretty impressive and his speed trap was nearly as fast as his Superbike so that BMW has some power.
