Novak Djokovic might have won 12 Grand Slams and countless ATP Tour titles - but defeat still hurts.

The Serb was desperate to add a first Olympic gold to his impressive haul. So his first-round defeat by comeback kid Juan Martin del Potro has cut deep.

Djoko, usually seen with that trademark cheeky grin, was in floods of tears as he left the Olympic Tennis Arena. Aaah.

Adam Peaty broke his own world record to win gold in the 100m breaststroke, and then Jazz Carlin had the swim of her life to take silver in the women's 400m free. Katie Ledecky put in a swim of the ages to win that one in a huge world record.
