Prior to that second goal, one loud Briton was bellowing: "He's coming for you, he's coming for you-uuu, Harry Potter, he's coming for you."

Seems Australians have no fear of the wizard.

That's 2-0, that's that. This tournament is not going well for GB's men at all.

Good news for Hungarian fencing fans. Aron Szilagyi has retained his Olympic individual sabre title.

Szilagyi, 26, won 15-8 against American world silver medallist Daryl Homer, with South Korea's Junghwan Kim claiming bronze.

In the women's individual foil, Russia's Inna Deriglazova deposed reigning champion Elisa Di Francisca.

Deriglazova, 26, won 12-11 in the final against the Italian, while world number one Arianna Errigo lost in the last 16.

It's looking rosy for the Aussies as they steal a second on the counter, one shot is well saved but Glenn Turner is able to poke it back and Jacob Whetton batters home.

So here's the set-up, a big group of Australia fans, probably around 150 of them. Then there's a cluster of Brits either side behaving a little more calmly, as Brits do.* There's some needle, when one set sings the other thinks it has to have a go, but there's no riot bubbling.

On the pitch, GB have it all to do as Aran Zalewski nets. We are into the final quarter. Defeat leaves Team GB on the brink with a game of the group to go.

Andrew Willis is one of two Brits in a swimming final tonight - and he starts proceedings at 02:03 BST.

Willis, 25, won his heat. A medal tonight would really secure a superb Games for the British breaststroke after Adam Peaty's gold in the 100m...

    Great Britain 0-0 Australia

Close for Great Britain as a back hand shot from Sam Ward bounces off the goalkeeper's shoulder and into the side of the goal. Australia get a late penalty corner, Blake Govers slaps it toward the net and George Pinner somehow manages to keep it out. He's not sure how he managed it - it bounced off everything and somehow stayed out of the goal.

One more quarter and, if it's still even stevens, it's penalty time...
