Huge from Ennis-Hill, and no wonder she's jumping for joy on the mat - you could forgive her a Daley '84 style backflip. 1.86 metres was more than satisfactory; 1.89m is deep into brucie bonus territory. And KJT looking very, very good.

Ethiopia's Almaz Ayana has been speaking after her extraordinary world record on the way to 10,000m gold.

The 24-year-old broke the previous best - which had stood for 23 years - by 14 seconds.

"Getting to this point is a dream come true. I never thought that this would happen and I'm so in awe. I'm very happy to get here," she said.

"I have worked very hard. I wouldn't say that my recent training has been any different from before but it was hard and it was all worth it."

A miss for Amber Hill. She has two shots left and I think she will need them both to make it through to contest the medals.

She turns away from the action again to keep her focus as she waits. This is tense.

"This is getting nervy now", says someone in the stands of a British persuasion.

Amber Hill, aged just 18, is closing in on a place in the skeet closing stages but she can afford no more misses it would seem.

Hill is 18/19 in the final round so far, we think she can scrape through with 23/25. So the margins now are tight.

Her body language - in a blue cap and bib - is fascinating as she tries to stay in the zone between shots as other athletes take their turn.

Only six qualify to contest the medals later today.

The poor weather which delayed Andy Murray's quarter-final has cleared, and the defending Olympic champion is getting ready to go on Court One.

Between Murray and a place in the last four? Steve Johnson of the United States.

It was nervy but Great Britain's Chris and Gabby Adcock have finally overhauled the highly-ranked Danish pair of Joachin Fischer Nielsen and Christinna Pedersen 21-17 in the third and final set.

They have won one and lost one in their group so far. Progress to the knockout stages is likely to depend on them winning their final pool match.
