    The below is from the International Golf Federation's Olympic regulations.

    • A caddie does not have to be the same nationality as the player
    • "Payment of the caddies is the sole respobnsibility oft he athlete and they shall be paid promptly"
    • If the caddie is ill or injured, he can be replaced with anyone who has proper accreditation
    • A player can be punished if their caddie breaks rules
