Here you go, we're throwing the rule book at you in the caddies debate.
The below is from the International Golf Federation's Olympic regulations.
- A caddie does not have to be the same nationality as the player
- "Payment of the caddies is the sole respobnsibility oft he athlete and they shall be paid promptly"
- If the caddie is ill or injured, he can be replaced with anyone who has proper accreditation
- A player can be punished if their caddie breaks rules
