Justin Rose will feel like that's a shot gained. After doing some gardening in the bushes to the left of the 11th fairway, he escapes with par.   

I've just seen an outstanding question on Twitter. Does a player's caddie also get a medal? I'd suspect not, seeing as a caddie doesn't get a Green Jacket or a Claret Jug. Still, one to ponder...

No sailing before 18:15 BST after a further postponement because of little wind. 

Some doubts starting to surface about whether we will see any sailing today. GB medal certainty Nick Dempsey and Finn leader Giles Scott must wait. 

It's an absolute belter. No wonder he's smiling. Rose finds the green, albeit quite far from the pin. He'll take that from that position.

Rose is in all sorts of trouble here. Ball in some dry, brown bushes, the sort that haven't seen rain in months. He needs a bit of Seve magic from here.

This Olympic golf tournament was so maligned before a ball was struck, mainly because of the players who aren't here. McIlroy, Spieth, Day. It's rather good for the sport that Stenson and Rose are serving up a final day cracker. Both are down the 11th. Stenson finds the posh bit, but Rose has gone way left. Possibly in a bush.

Rose's birdie putt is much longer than I initially though. Maybe 12 feet. One swing, address, roll. Just to the left. Levels, you devils, though 10.

Nicola!: A real final day battle going on between Rose and Stenson....Great to watch! Fingers crossed Rose can come out on top!

"Bite, bite!" shouts Rose as he chips towards the 10th pin. It just runs on. Stenson, putting from off the green, rolls close enough for the birdie putt to be a gimme. Briefly level...

Have a little look at this. 61-year-old John Whitaker (yes, 61) goes round clear in showjumping qualifying. 

Rose and Stenson are both facing a stiff breeze as they approach the 10th. Water to the left, pin at the front of the green. Rose to the left, leaving himself a little bump and run. Stenson at the front. He might be able to putt from there. Par five, so shots on offer.

Five-time Grand Slam winner Martina Hingis and her Swiss partner Timea Bacsinszky have lost the first set 6-4 to Russian pair Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina in the women's doubles gold medal match.

A slightly awkward moment for Bacsinzky as she hands the set-winning point to the Russians by leaving a serve and then challenging the call - it was quite safely in and with it went the point and the set.

In this final three-ball, Aussie Marcus Fraser is definitely the bridesmaid watching the two pretty girls scrapping over who gets to be the bride. He led for much of this tournament, but has now slipped back to -7 and won't be challenging for a medal.

A few shock waves are sent through the media centre as a controlled explosion is carried out on the road outside the sailing venue at Marina da Gloria.

I'm told that a suspicious package was found on the women's marathon route, which passes close to the venue, but with runners long past the point it was found we are told there is "nothing to worry about".
