    RS:X windsurfing medal race

Britain has another silver medal in the bag with Nick Dempsey having already secured second place in the windsurfing, but the formality of the medal race has been delayed by light winds. The latest ETA - 17:40 BST.

    -15 Rose, -14 Stenson

Rose, wind blowing through his blue and white shirt, makes a helluva fist of his birdie attempt, leaving a tap-in for par. Stenson, a more makeable birdie chance, sees his putt break right to left and slide past. American Matt Kuchar is not totally out of contention on -11. He made eagle at the 10th a little earlier on.

Too much action on the approach to the ninth from Rose, the ball spinning away from the pin to leave a tricky uphiller from a reasonable distance. Stenson, pitching towards a block of flats, lands a belter. He's got about six feet for birdie.

It is the biggest day British Gymnastics has known.

It is going to be a real nerve wracking evening.

In terms of that gymnastics, which is coming from around 18:00, Max Whitlock goes in two finals, with the pommel horse providing a real chance of a medal - possibly even gold. Team-mate Louis Smith could well in the shake-up too. Great Britain have never won an Olympic gold in gymnastics.

To paint the picture, this final round is being played under a cloudless Rio sky. The course, shades of green with copious amounts of sand, is overlooked by high-rise buildings in the distance. Rose, in blue and white, and Stenson, in Jack Nicklaus yellow, are away down the ninth.

This is a pair of heavyweights throwing haymaker after haymaker at each other. They're not tiring, they are simply trading blows. After losing the lead, Rose goes back in front, rolling in from about eight feet to birdie the par-three eighth.

That little look ahead from a couple of minutes ago had a couple of notable omissions. From 17:30, Rafael Nadal and Kei Nishikori play for tennis bronze and, from 18:00, Max Whitlock and Kristian Thomas are in the final of the men's floor.

But before all that we have not only a Duel in the Sun but a Rumble in Rio.

Great Britain's Justin Rose can only bogey the seventh after hitting through the green with his second shot.

Henrik Stenson makes par but again had a birdie chance which would have given him the lead.

They're both -14 heading to the eighth tee.

En route to Marina da Gloria, you pass over the road where the stragglers from the women's marathon are closing in on the finish. With temperatures peaking around 30 degrees today, it's definitely a day for sailing over running.

On the water, Nick Dempsey is set to become the first GB sailor to win a third Olympic medal in the windsurfing, while Bryony Shaw has an outside chance of bronze in the women's event.

With two races left, Giles Scott can continue Britain's strong record in the Finn by taking an unassailable lead, although that won't confirmed until the medal race on Tuesday.

They will all have to wait, though. Currently racing is postponed because of a lack of wind. You have to feel for those marathon runners!

Tennis: Men's singles final (16:00 BST)

Before the Grand Slam victories came Olympic glory.

Andy Murray claimed the gold medal at London 2012 with a 6-2 6-1 6-4 victory over Roger Federer on a raucous Centre Court.

Murray's not exactly done too badly since, with a US Open victory and then two Wimbledon titles. Relive his Olympic gold-medal winning performance with our video.
