It has been amazing for the team. I expected them to do well but they have dominated in the same way they did in Bejing and London.

There has almost been a waving of the white flag from the other teams. From day one chins have been hitting the floor.

It was fantastic from Nile Wilson. When Nile comes to these major championships he raises his game. He loves to perform in front of a big crowd. He loves to be in the spotlight.

So how has four-time world champion Giles Scott won gold on his Olympic debut? Well, he missed out on London 2012 selection to Sir Ben Ainslie, who went on to win a third successive gold in the Finn.

Scott was distraught to be overlooked but his watching brother Nick says the experience proved an inspirational one.

"One thing's for sure, that whole thing taught him how to win," says Nick. "He's left no stone unturned in order to find an edge, so thanks to Ben."

    Brazil 3-7 Croatia

It may sound like the second quarter of this last eight tie has been rather one-sided, but that isn't the case. Croatia goalkeeper Marko Bijac is having the game of his life.

Two penalty saves, multiple others from open play, and a touch of luck when Brazil hit the post, and his team have a clear lead at half-time.

There was also a delightful lob from Maro Jokovic for Croatia's fourth goal - think of a teenage Wayne Rooney. In water.

"I wasn't thinking about winning a medal. My coaches said I had nothing to lose and just to go out and enjoy it. I could hear a lot of cheers from the crowd and that helped me a lot.

"Max Whitlock and Louis Smith have inspired me so much over the years, so to have a medal like them is incredible."
