Hmmm. Nile Wilson's medal hopes judt got better.

Defending champion Epke Zonderland has let the bar slip through his fingers and crashes down to the mat. He's OK and gets back up to finish his routine - GB's Wilson is next.

Not only is Amy Tinkler a star on the gymnastics mat - she's also pretty impressive in front of the microphone.

"Will you be Tokyo 2020's Simone Biles?" asks BBC Sport's Ollie Williams after the Briton won bronze.

"Hopefully I'll be the first Amy Tinkler! " is the sharp reply from the laughing teenager.

'Conlan boxed the perfect contest'published at 19:48 British Summer Time 16 August 2016

Former world champion on BBC TV

Irishman Michael Conlan felt he was robbed earlier.

The bantamweight's quarter-final against Russia's Vladimir Nikitin was pointed in favour of the Russian - a decision that raised plenty of eyebrows.

Conlan expressed his fury - and questioned amateur boxing's governing body. Here's Richie Woodhall's take.

The refereeing has been quite good. I haven't agreed with all of them but there have not been many bad decisions but today was a bad one.

The reason was I think he boxed the perfect contest.

He kept his distance in the first round and the judging at the end of the first was bad, with three giving it against him. Then he changed his tactics and the third round was a perfect round and he didn't get it.

    Don't look Hope Solo.

Sweden beat Brazil 4-3 on penalties. USA keeper Solo labelled Sweden as "cowards" for their defensive play as once again the European side set up to defend and frustrate their opponents - which they did.

After 120 minutes it went down to penalties. Houston Dash's Andressa missed before Lisa Dahlkvist - who scored the winning penalty against USA - struck home the crucial spot-kick for the Swedes.

Women's semi final goes to penalties

Brazil could not find a break through against a very disciplined Swedish defence in extra time.

The Swedes had the better share of opportunities but were wide of the mark on both occasions.

Brazilian legend Marta could have won the game with a free-kick but her effort was comfortably saved.

    This one's going to penalties.

Beth Tweddle had to go to Athens 2004, to Beijing 2008 and to London 2012 to finally get a bronze medal in her final Olympic Games at the age of 27. She had been a double world champion and had so much experience on the biggest stages before getting a medal.

Amy Tinkler has strolled out at the age of 16, having done her PE GCSE early before turning up in Rio, and come away with medal. It just puts it in some context.

A great game so far in this men's quarter-final, with Brazil giving no quarter to their illustrious opponents.

Croatia may lead, but a Brazil goal shortly before the end of the first quarter has arrested the momentum. In fact, if not for a save by Croatia goalkeeper Marko Bijac in the dying embers of the quarter, they could have been level.

Ferrari's 14.766 is not enough to knock GB's Tinkler off third place and the 16-year-old is an Olympic bronze medallist - the youngest member of Team GB.

She also becomes only the second British woman to win an individual gymnastics medal, after Beth Tweddle.
