Great Britain 1-0 New Zealand
Penalty corner. A foot from Georgie Twigg.
Great Britain 1-0 New Zealand
A clearance, but straight back in from the Black Sticks, who are basically defending the halfway line. Team in red chasing shadows.
Great Britain 1-0 New Zealand
Still the GB chants come from the stands, New Zealand with the ball on the edge of the British 23. Sustained black pressure, only interrupted by the whistle. "Watch those shoulders, ladies."
Great Britain 1-0 New Zealand
Great Britain are working hard. Every time the Black Sticks have the ball, red shirts stream back. Shot from distance, kicked away by GB keeper Maddie Hinch.

Mark O'Meara: Danson in the street
GT: Nice goal by #TeamGB ladies in the semi final of the hockey. Let's get a few more and put this game out of reach!!
Great Britain 1-0 New Zealand
NZ had barely been in the GB half in this quarter, but are attacking after going behind. Night falling now, a British fan decked out in the Union flag clapping the ladies in red. Just over six minutes until half-time.

Jonny Huntridge: Well I was almost looking forward to a day off t'olympics but come on @_GBHockey let's have this.
Robert T Bruce: This is turning out to be a good game #NZL and #GBR women's #hockey

It so often happens off the penalty corner rebounds that it is the goal scorers who react first.
It was a good save but Alex Danson was quickest to it and it is Brooke Neal who got the last touch.
Great Britain 1-0 New Zealand (Alex Danson)
Great Britain lead! From the penalty corner, there's a save, but Alex Danson is the fox in the box to pounce on the loose ball and flick over the Kiwi keeper. GB, who have never made an Olympic final, are ahead in the semi.
Great Britain 0-0 New Zealand
Less cut and thrust in this second quarter. Lots of red ball, but no incision. The Kiwis have their defensive house in order.
Great Britain 0-0 New Zealand
Hockey officials are very whistle happy. It's like being on train platform. They'll need new a pea at this rate...
Great Britain 0-0 New Zealand
Well worked. This one is straight off the training ground. Switched to Laura Unsworth. Wide, wouldn't have counted because it was over the backboard.
Great Britain 0-0 New Zealand
That's hit a Kiwi foot. GB penalty corner...

Sophie Bray wasn't that far away from that cross. It was a brilliant ball in.
Great Britain 0-0 New Zealand
GB still right to left, Sophie Bray still being a nuisance. She's trying to get on the end of Lily Owsley's cross, but can't get the touch.
Great Britain 0-0 New Zealand
Second quarter under way...
Women's 10m platform prelims
And she's through! Tonia Couch nails a score of 64.40 points for her fifth and final dive - the reverse 2½ somersaults. It's not her best, but is enough to seal passage into the semi-final.
Sadly, Sarah Barrow looks very unlikely to join her. She scores a 60.80 with her final dive for a 277.40. That puts her 10th but with a few more dives to come from her competitors, she's unlikely to keep her place in the top 18 and qualify.
Great Britain 0-0 New Zealand
The break should usually be two minutes, but we're having four because of the heat.
Great Britain 0-0 New Zealand

New Zealand are quite happy to sit back.
Britain have had more possession but soon as New Zealand turn the ball over their raw pace has caused a lot of problems.
