Every blow her opponent lands is met with a huge screech of satisfaction from her corner. Adams will be able to hear it loud and clear.

We're hearing that Liam Phillips is out of these Olympic Games. He will not line-up in heat two after the crash in heat one.

Big expectation, not such a big crowd in place however.

In China's Ren Cancan she faces a silver medalist from London 2012, so hopes of a procession to the top of the podium need to be put on hold for now as the fourth seed is quite an athlete.
