Excruciating pain and punishing moments in the men's 50km race walk, as athletes are seen collapsing in the scorching streets of Rio.

The agony of the French Yohann Diniz can be seen as he stops multiple times before collapsing.

Yet for Slovakian Matej Toth this all leads up to a gold medal, with Australia's Jared Tallent in second place.

Russia have won Olympic gold in the team event at the last four games, and it is odds-on they will make it five in a row with a total score of 196.1439 after both their technical and free routines in the pool.

They received three perfect 10s in the latter and will be very hard to be beat. No wonder they're pleased...
