Race walk
Race walk
More drama in the walk, where former leader Yohann Diniz has collapsed to the floor around the 36km mark.
The Frenchman looks to be in all sorts of trouble, but after dousing himself in water he returns to the race although the chances of a medal have surely gone.
Brave, or mad?
Canada's Evan Dunfee is the current leader but the gap to the pack is down to 20 seconds.
Kayak four 500m
Actually it turns out the fast-finishing GB scored a dead heat with Canada for second in that semi-final.
Double delight then.
Kayak four 500m
Just.
Germany and Canada sew up the top two place, leaving it to Poland and Great Britain to fight it out for the third and final spot in the A final.
It is nip and tuck all through the second half of the race, before GB nose ahead to take their place in tomorrow's medal shake-down.
And they look duly delighted.
Kayak four 500m
Great Britain's four - Rachel Cawthorn, Louisa Gurski, Jess Walker and Rebeka Simon - need a top-three finish in this six-boat semi-final to make Saturday's final.
Germany and Poland are in the centre lanes and will also be primed for a qualifying spot.
It's going to be a scrap.
Race walk
There's been a dramatic development in the walk, where France's Yohann Diniz, the clear leader for much of the race, has pulled over to the side of the road with around 16km to go.
The 38-year-old looked in some discomfort for around a minute and was applying a sponge to the base of his back, but rejoined the race just as second-placed Evan Dunfee of Canada went past him.
Dunfee, sportingly, slowed down to encourage the Frenchman and was shoulder-to-shoulder with Duniz before opening up a short lead.
Fifteen kilometres to go with the finish in about an hour.
If Ryan Lochte thought that he had left controversy behind once he landed back on American soil, he has soon been put right.
The fall-out continues from allegations that he was part of a group of swimmers who vandalised a petrol station toilet and then made up a robbery as a cover story while in Rio.
As this BBC story explains the incident is now exposing divisions in American society as well as the personal shortcoming of Lochte.
Live: Individual jumping final
Great Britain's Ben Maher has also performed a beaut of a round at the Olympic Equestrian Arena on the adorably-named Tic Tac.
He picks up a jump penalty but looks good enough to qualify for this evening's grand finale...
Muhammad into last eight
Nick Hope
BBC Sport in Rio
"Only gold will do, yer yer," screams and then sings Lutalo Muhammad after powering into the Rio Olympic quarter-finals.
In his own words, he "took home" the bronze medal from London 2012 and insists only the champion can "win" a medal, so this time around he's entirely focused on landing the sport's major prize and following Jade Jones' lead.
It won't be quite as easy in the next round for Muhammad though, he's up against the taekwondo legend Steven Lopez. The two-time Olympic champion (Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004) who's now 37 may not quite be the force of old - but he still packs a ferocious kick.
Live: Individual jumping final.
Team GB's Nick Skelton performs the first clean round in the Individual jumping final.
BBC commentator Michael Tucker on BBC TV is very impressed:
"What a round for Skelton. A masterly display from his horse, Big Star. Nick has waited four years for this round and he has nailed it!"
Linda Marric: That Jesse Owens VT by Michael Johnson. Ooof! Something in my eye.
Alex Cheney: Incredibly moving, important and inspiring BBC Sport piece on Jesse Owens on his achievements and legacy.
Mark_Coughlan: Michael Johnson tribute to Jesse Owens on BBC Sport just now was beautiful. Visuals were quality too.
Karen: Just watched the Jesse Owens piece by Michael Jordan, on BBC One. Blown away. Incredibly moving & informative...
It was superb. Watch back by clicking on the BBC One coverage here and rewinding to 13:54 ish. It is just after Lutalo Muhammad's taekwondo win.
Kayak single 200m
A big bunch of units here and Liam Heath is chief bruiser.
The Briton turns the water white as he motors to victory in the first semi-final in a time of 34.076 seconds.
Heath is attempting to regain the title won four years ago for Britain by Ed McKeever in London.
The final is tomorrow at 13:07 BST.
Men's 50km walk
French world record holder Yohann Diniz is out on his own at the halfway point in the men's race walk, opening up a lead of one minute and 40 seconds on the rest.
Muhammad 14-0 Shkara
Hugely impressive from Lutalo Muhammad who brings his last-16 bout against Australia's Hayder Shkara to an early end by establishing a lead in excess of 12 points by the end of the second of three rounds.
Tougher opposition to come, but no-one will fancy taking on Muhammad.
