Team GB just need to remain focused and organised defensively because Japan will have a lot of possession, their movement is very good.

Where Canada got at Japan was out wide, sometimes defensively they can be quite narrow.

So, the likes of Parris and Hemp are so key for Team GB.

Team GB have gelled really well, the introduction of Kim Little, Sophie Ingle and Caroline Weir has really added some more extra dynamism in that midfield area that sometimes we've lacked.

But it looks a really good team that's getting stronger and stronger, it was a solid performance in the opener against Chile.

From Laura Bassett's heartbreaking injury-time own goal in the 2015 World Cup semi-finals, to Scotland's defeat in Rennes four years later which all but ended their hopes of making it out of the group, the home nations have had mixed fortunes against Japan in recent years.

The Lionesses have enjoyed back-to-back wins since in the 2019 World Cup and 2020 SheBelieves Cup respectively, but today will be another tough test for GB as Hege Riise's side face the 2011 world champions.

Kick-off in Sapporo is just 10 minutes away.
