    Team GB v Germany - 01:30 BST

Team GB's women's hockey team are about to launch their Olympic title defence against Germany.

I'm not sure they'll be stopping the news for this one.

The night they won a first-ever Olympic gold in 2016 has become the stuff of folklore.

Watched by a BBC TV audience of more than nine million, the final against the Netherlands, which finished 3-3 after normal time and went to penalties, delayed the BBC News at Ten.

It was voted one of the top 10 Olympic moments of all time.

Frenchman Vincent Milou, after wowing us only a few moments ago, takes a tumble on his fourth attempt of that flying leap over the rail.

Decked out in all white, he ends up flat on his back and has to get up quite gingerly.

There can only be one gold medal winner in each event and for those who narrowly miss out, the emotions can come pouring out.

Serbia's Damir Mikec had to settle for silver in the 10m air pistol final.

As Iran's Javad Foroughi celebrated gold, Mikec fell to the floor at the Asaka Shooting Range.

Yesterday was emotional for all sorts of reasons.

Winning Olympic gold can provoke all sorts of feelings and for Kosovo's Distria Krasniqi the tears flowed when it dawned on her just what she had achieved.

Krasniqi won the final of the women's -48k judo after defeating Japan's Funa Tonaki.

This should have been a huge day for local swimming hero Daiya Seto in Tokyo.

The 400m individual medley final was his chance to lift the mood of a nation in lockdown but Seto, who won bronze in the event at Rio 2016, finished fifth in his heat and ninth overall.

That meant he just missed out on one of the eight places in the final which starts at 02:30 BST.

"It hurts and I'm frustrated at myself. It's my mistake and I have to own up to it," he said.

Think of this like Formula 1 - the wheels are affected by the heat.

So if the wheels get really hot, they are going to squash and impact the landings.

Will Britain's Adam Peaty win another Olympic gold?

He certainly looks in the mood if his performance on Saturday is anything to go by.

Peaty, who won 100m breaststroke gold at Rio, continued his seven-year unbeaten streak in the discipline by winning his qualifying heat to advance to the semi finals with a time of 57.56 seconds.

The semi-finals take place between 03:33 BST and 03:39 at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre.

Very simple format here. It's called 2-5-4.

Two runs of 45 seconds, around the entire course and then five attempts at a trick - you can go anywhere on the course for one single obstacle.

There are seven opportunities to score and the best four of any of those, will be your final score.

So, final score will be out of 40.
