Athletics gets under way on day seven in Tokyo with Team GB sprinter Dina Asher-Smith in action, while the rowing comes to a close with Great Britain looking for their first gold medal of the regatta.
·Athletics - Men's high jump and discus qualifying feature alongside early rounds of the women's 800m, men's 400m hurdles, and women's 100m - where world silver medallist Dina Asher-Smith starts her campaign (02:15-03:03).
·Rowing - The British men's eight, champions at Rio 2016, will seek a second gold medal, but must improve on their third at the 2019 world championships. Events run from 00:45 to 02:55, including GB's Vicky Thornley (01:33) in the women's single sculls. The US could win a fourth consecutive gold in the women's eight.
·Swimming: Home hope Daiya Seto, the men's 200m individual medley world champion, goes for gold (03:10) after a year in which his personal life - and admission of an affair - has made headlines. He'll expect to face stiff opposition from American Michael Andrew. British hopes include Luke Greenbank in the men's 200m backstroke (02:40) and Freya Anderson in the women's 100m freestyle final (03:25).
·Cycling: One of the great Games spectacles comes with the BMX event (02:00-04:20). GB's Kye Whyte was fifth at the 2019 world championships. The US have defending champion Connor Fields, while Colombian two-time Olympic gold medallist Mariana Pajon bids to stop American Alise Willoughby in the women's event.
·Football: GB topped their group in and face an Australian side led by Chelsea striker Sam Kerr in the women's quarter-finals. (10:00).
Great Britain are still in the hunt for a play-off spot at the top of the medal table, sitting sixth behind a frustratingly buoyant Australia.
There were some scintillating moments.
Whether it was American Caeleb Dressell churning through the pool...
...Mallory Franklin dodging her way down the rapids in the canoe slalom....
...while the fine margin crumbled against Great Britain in the double sculls.
It was another action-packed spectator-light day in Tokyo town. What did you miss? Just this little lot:
Israel 5-6 South Korea
So close, yet so far.
It's heartbreak in the extra innings as Israel lose 6-5 to defending champions South Korea on their Olympic baseball debut.
It ends in cruel, cruel fashion as South Korea get a walk-off win after two straight hit by pitches.

Jay Baker: What an Experience for the Gadirova Twins. Such exciting talents at the age of 16 years old.
Andrea: Congratulations Sunisa Lee, what a performance!!!!! Said you would get gold the first time I saw you compete in this tournament.
Women's all-around final
GB gymnast Jessica Gadirova speaking to BBC Sport: "It's my first world ranking, so I know where I am and where I stand and it's knowing how much I need to improve and over the years hopefully I will just grow.
"I've got a few days to rest the legs up ready for the floor final."
Jennifer Gadirova: "So pleased and happy to be out here it's my first major, coming here doing an all-around final, my first ever I didn't know what to expect I just wanted to enjoy it and coming in the top 15 - I'm happy about it, it's not too bad.
"I still can't believe it - coming away with the bronze, doing this final and doing it with Jess as well I couldn't ask for any more really.
"I'm first reserve for the floor finals, so I may be able to take a spot and if she [Simone Biles] drops out last minute I will be ready to go."
A landmark result from Jessica Gadirova...

Women's all-around final
Beth Tweddle
London 2012 bronze medallist on BBC TV
For Jessica [Gadirova] to finish 10th and Jennifer in 13th they should be very proud, there were little mistakes here and there today but to go from winning Olympic bronze and compose yourself two days later.
The amount of adrenaline from winning that medal and then to refocus and get back out there is a difficult thing in itself - they should be very proud at just 16-years-old. It really bodes well for the future.
Israel 5-5 South Korea
Extra innings here we come!
After nine innings, Israel and South Korea can't be separated and we're tied at 5-5.
Whatever the result, it's an Olympic debut to remember for Israel against the defending champions!

Sunisa Lee's friends and family were watching, waiting and finally celebrating in their hometown of Oakdale, Washington.
Love these sort of videos.

London 2012 bronze medallist on BBC TV
We're seeing it across all the competitions this week where it's being won by the smallest of margins, today it was literally those two steps out of the floor that cost Rebeca Andrade the Olympic title.
She will be over the moon with a silver, the journey she has been on, after tearing her ACL three times. To have done it so recently in 2019 and to fight back and win Olympic silver is incredible.

American Cup winning artistic gymnast on BBC Radio 5 Live
I'm starting to tear up - how exciting is that!
It's her first Olympic Games, she's only 18 years old.
That just proves she's a real competitor - she's followed in the footsteps of Simone.
Women's all-around final
Sunisa Lee holds on by the skin of her teeth!
The American takes gold by 0.135 as Brazil's Rebeca Andrade scores 13.666 for her floor routine.
Andrade takes silver as Lee disappears into the bear hug of a waiting coach.

Craig Heap
Commonwealth Games gold-winning gymnast on BBC TV
I hope there's a medal here for her - Rebeca Andrade has been one of the gymnasts of the Games for me, to think she has come back from reconstructive knee surgery.
That routine was packed with difficulty, she proved that you can have everything within a floor routine.

Rebeca Andrade has been so spot on all day.
This is the best of the best competing right now!
Women's all-around final
Brazil's Rebeca Andrade needs 13.800 for gold. I don't think she is getting it. A couple of steps off the floor as she struggled to pack in all the twists and flips of a really tricky routine...
