Golf commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live

Hideki Matsuyama, around who there is so much attention, is the Masters champion and really the man around whom this event has been built.

It is right up there with the drama because it is go-for-it golf - you have to finish in the top three or you are going home empty handed. There is no protecting your position to get a decent cheque or all those things that normally come with the nearly-rans.

Eventing - GB in gold medal positions

    Frank Keogh
    BBC Sport

British riders are first, third and sixth in the individual rankings - and GB lead the eventing team standings - after the penultimate cross-country stage.

Oliver Townend is in the gold medal position, with Laura Collett third and Tom McEwen sixth before Monday's showjumping finale.

A medal for Collett, 31, would seal a remarkable comeback after she was left in a coma following a serious fall eight years ago.

"People not associated with it might find it a bit strange that you can get back on as though nothing has happened. You just have to take the good with the bad," she told BBC Sport in 2013.
