There was a lot of talk about this pommel horse final who was going to do what, but Max kept calm and composed throughout. He has carried himself like a real superstar in the build up to this.
Just an absolutely phenomenal result.
Men's 100m semi-finals
HUGE from Zharnel Hughes. He's just won his 100m semi-final in a season's best 9.98 to book his place in the final.
American Trayvon Bromell, running in the same semi-final, can only manage third.

He's getting emotional, I think that's the most emotional I've ever seen him, he might be tearing up.

Annette Allinson: Max Whitlock!! Just amazing. What an amazing performance!
Jack: Max Whitlock really is the boss of pommel isn't he? Went up first, put up a score nobody else has hit all week and watched them wilt away in the spotlight
Andrew Priestley: Max Whitlock completely annihilated the field in that pommel horse final. Up first, nailed his routine and watched as the rest crumbled under the pressure while trying to chase a huge score.

Wow, how delighted is Max that he went first, how great when you can perform like that, to be the first up and throw down the gauntlet.
It's the cleanest that we've seen him compete. He swung well, good extension through the body, not a flicker really.
This was confident and fluent right to the end.
