Great Britain can be really pleased with that. Dramatic racing that we've seen today, it's been amazing.

We're still waiting to see if the Danes will be allowed to compete for the gold later, they could be disqualified. The British team have excelled. Everything is kicking off at the velodrome.

As the lead rider in the team, you always have to keep your eyes on the team you're pursuing. It's called the pursuit for good reason. He clearly wasn't looking.

Charlie Tanfield did the right thing in staying behind and on the black line, that was the Danish rider's fault.

Andrew Priestley: His insurance company won’t be paying out on that claim, the Dane just wasn’t paying attention.

Lawrence Monk: Disgraceful of the front rider of the Danish team in the 4000m cycling pursuit. Crashes into team GB and screams at him?! Hoping he will be penalised for that. Outrageous.

Jo Hooper: Disgraceful behaviour from Denmark shouting at Team GB - it was their fault!

Coming up - Three gymnastics medals up for grabspublished at 08:56 British Summer Time 3 August 2021

There are three gold medals up for grabs on the final day of artistic gymnastics action in Tokyo.

First up at 09:00 BST it's the men's parallel bar final where Team GB's Joe Fraser hopes to get on the podium. The 22-year-old is the reigning world champion after winning gold in Stuttgart in 2019.

The women's beam final follows at 09:50 and all eyes are on Simone Biles. The 24-year-old is taking up her final chance of an individual medal at Tokyo 2020 after withdrawing from four other finals.

Last but not least, the men's horizontal bar final is at 10:39. After Japanese legend Kohei Uchimura failed to make the final, teenager Daiki Hashimoto is among the favourites for gold.

'Absolutely no reason' for Danes crashing into GBpublished at 08:55 British Summer Time 3 August 2021

    Men’s team pursuit

    Chris Boardman
Olympic cycling champion on BBC TV

There was absolutely no reason for that at all! They do look down, they look between the arms, maybe he didn't realise just how fast he was coming up on Great Britain there.

I think Denmark will win the heat as they technically caught Great Britain. But they were just simply not looking where they were going.

I'm not sure why he's screaming at the British rider.

His head is down he is not looking where he is going.

You have to hold your line if someone is approaching you like that and that is exactly what the GB rider did.

Crash. Not seen that before. Frederik Madsen ploughs into the back of Charlie Tanfield and takes the British rider down.

Both teams are now down to two riders. Can someone check the rules. How do they take a time from this?

Normally the time of the third rider is taken.

    Men’s team pursuit

    Chris Boardman
Olympic cycling champion on BBC TV

We're expecting records to go by tenths here and there, but we're seeing lumps knocked out of it. That's because of Italy's Filippo Gana, what a finish from him.

They held him back and then that last kilometre he did pretty much on his own. He towed them to the end.

It is hard to fathom just how fast that is.

Impressively, they are ahead after the opening kilometre.
