Yes, not only did Wigan win, but they announced that Sam Tomkins will be rejoining the club for 2016 as well.

Warriors have paid New Zealand Warriors "in excess of £200,000" for the full-back, who has signed a four-year contract.

"It's a great shot in the arm for English rugby league and for Wigan," coach Shaun Wane told BBC Radio Manchester.

What a cracker we had served up at the DW Stadium as Wigan secured a 30-20 win over Warrington in a topsy-turvy game.

Young winger Dom Manfredi was again the Warriors' hero, scoring his second hat-trick in a week, on the night that prop Ben Flower returned from his six-month ban for punching St Helens' Lance Hohaia in last season's Grand Final.

  4. The rest of the weekend's actionpublished at 19:40 British Summer Time 17 April 2015

With the Challenge Cup occupying the minds of those sides who finished towards the bottom of Super League last season, that means there's only two other top-flight fixtures this weekend.

Both games are on Sunday, with Huddersfield hosting Catalans Dragons and Castleford making the journey to Cheshire to face Widnes.

But it's not all about Saints v Leeds this evening as Super League side Wakefield host Championship outfit Halifax in the Challenge Cup.

It's the first of this weekend's eight fifth-round fixtures, which include Leigh v Salford, Bradford v Hull KR and Sheffield v Hull FC in the pick of the ties.

We'll keep you up to date with how events at Belle Vue unfold during the course of the evening.

St Helens and Leeds know all about each other in big games.

Between 2007 and 2011, the two sides met at Old Trafford in four out of five Grand Finals.

And the short journey home down the East Lancs Road wasn't an enjoyable one for Saints fans...

This top-of-the-table tussle is beautifully poised.

Leeds have been a model of consistency with nine wins from 10 games and they sit four points clear at the top.

Their sole defeat was against Warrington, little more than a month ago and away wins at Catalans, Castleford and Salford have followed.

Saints, meanwhile, flew out of the blocks in 2015, winning their first six games, but lost three on the bounce before a morale-boosting win at Huddersfield last weekend.

They also won both league meetings between the pair last term, with the Rhinos coming out on top in the Challenge Cup.

Recovered from last night's Super League extravaganza?

I do hope so because tonight promises equally generous helpings of fireworks, intensity and skill.

Last season's champions St Helens take on this season's league leaders Leeds Rhinos.

The Rhinos are top scorers in the division; Saints second only to Huddersfield for fewest points conceded.

It's all set up for a cracker... and you can follow it all here.
