    Turn the clock back just over a year and Sam Burgess was preparing for a rugby union World Cup with England.

    A huge fanfare greeted his switch of codes in 2014, but that soon dimmed and shortly after England's limp exit from the tournament, Burgess announced he was heading back to rugby league.

    With Sean O'Loughlin ruled out because of injury, the South Sydney Rabbitohs forward will captain his country during the Four Nations.
