Mwah. Valentine Holmes seals the win with a smooch.

The right wing collects the ball and with defender Jermaine McGillvary closing in for the tackle, Holmes goes airborne.

He flies through the air, keeping control of the ball and touching the ball down while his body drifts through the London sky.

    Sensational.

  5. 'England have to execute at highest level'published at 15:57 Greenwich Mean Time 13 November 2016

    England 18-32 Australia

    Jonathan Davies
Former dual code international on BBC One

It's a question of executing at the highest level and they have got to do that in the Super League week in, week out to start with. George Williams straightens up, he has numbers on the outside, beautiful pass, and it's a try for Ryan Hall.

  6. try

    Ryan Hall

Hall pulls a try back for England

    Got to applaud England's courage.

A sweeping move, conducted by George Williams (why did he not start???) sees Ryan Hall get the ball on the left.

The Leeds man has a free run in for his 31st try in as many games for the national side.

Gareth Widdop knocks in the two points.

    Too little, too late though.

A fantastic showing from the fans in the capital, with 35,569 turning out at the London Stadium.

Not the result they were hoping for though.

  10. 'Frustration'published at 15:53 Greenwich Mean Time 13 November 2016

    John Kear
    Wales coach on BBC One

That's frustration as much as anything, but it certainly looks as if Sam Burgess caught him.

  11. try

TRY - England 12-34 Australiapublished at 72 mins

    Matt Gillett

    Media caption,

Gillett try puts Australia back in control

No close shave for England here, Australia are in again.

Matt Gillett cuts through the defence to go in.

The try is followed by a ruckus between England captain Sam Burgess and Australia's David Klemmer. The Aussie comes off worse, copping a forearm to the head from the former Bradford man. Klemmer needs to be bandaged up.

Bit late to show some fight now, although the crowd are enjoying replays of it on the big screen.

Shock, horror, the end is nigh. Johnathan Thurston misses with the conversion.

    England 12-28 Australia

    Paul Fletcher
    BBC Sport at London Stadium

The crowd were hugely lifted by Gareth Widdop's try and the men in white really must give them something to ensure that even if the majority of them do not exactly go home happy they are at least not humiliated.

This will be England's last game of the series and so far they have come up very short.

England need three tries - all converted - to win.

    England 12-28 Australia

    John Kear
    Wales coach on BBC One

That was a good try. They got eight men against six defenders and it's something we've been looking for the English pivots to do, to run with the ball.

  17. try

TRY - England 12-28 Australiapublished at 68 mins

    Gareth Widdop

    Media caption,

England's pulse is still beating... for now.

Gareth Widdop dances inside and out before stretching over to cut the deficit.

    Widdop himself adds the conversion.

John Dunthorne: It appears that Wayne Bennett can not answer any of the questions asked of him. This is the most disappointing of the many defeats.

rae: Eng V Aus - never mind defence, or attack, not an ounce of intelligence between any of the England players or coach! going backward

Tejas Hirani: This performance just shows Super League is not working and that England will never be number one
