It was an obvious try. It's the introduction of the full-back again... its a beautiful pass over the top and the overlap has been created and Blake Ferguson can finish.

    The pressure tells.

Australia were camped in the England half for the last few minutes and finally get their first try of the game.

It is superb skill from Darius Boyd, who passes the ball on without catching it, straight into the hands of left-winger Blake Ferguson.

The Sydney Rooster pins his ears back and touches down in the corner.

Johnathan Thurston curls a brilliant kick for the extra two and just like that, Australia lead.

Edward O'Donnell:  Australia's poor disciple is their own undoing so far. You can't concede so many penalties and expect to win!

Stacy Phillips:  ermain McGillvery is one of the best finishers in the game. As is Ryan Hall. We're gonna win this on the wings

Its been a brilliant couple of minutes for England. They're asking questions.

    England 6-2 Australia

Kallum Watkins thinks he is in, but is dragged down by two Australia players.

England recycle the ball with Kevin Brown looking to dictate the play, but again Mark Percival cannot hold on when homing in on the tryline.

The St Helens centre looks to the heavens and growls, he knows that was a big chance.

20 metres out, Australia winger Valentine Holmes is looking to bring the ball away, but drops it as he tries to get back to his mark.

A chance for England in a great position...

Bit of an arm wrestle so far - and the crowd are really responding to England's defence.

We've heard a lot about pressure over the last few weeks, about building it and handling it. England's lead has been built on their defence so far.

But beware, England led 12-4 in 2014 and 10-0 in 2013 against the Aussies and lost both.

Much better from Kevin Brown with a kick that tests Blake Ferguson, but the Australian man is up to the task.

Can the hosts keep it going?

Fantastic work from England. You've got to credit the players for having the confidence to want to keep the ball in hand, to test Australia's defence. There was a half metre for McGillvary and over he goes.

  19. try

TRY - England 6-2 Australiapublished at 25 mins

    Jermaine McGillvary

    Oh yes, ohh yes.

England get a couple of repeat sets but manage to keep their composure, unlike years gone by.

Full-back Jonny Lomax spreads the play to the right wing with an arrowed pass, which is behind Jermaine McGillvary.

The Huddersfield man collects it brilliant, before going over in the corner.

    Fantastic pass, superb finish.

Gareth Widdop cannot add the extras from a tight angle.
