    Alan Hunte
Ex-Great Britain winger on BBC Radio Manchester

He could savour every step because there was never going to be a Warrington player near him.

He cruised underneath the posts, Warrington had given up. That seals the game for Warriors. Warrington need to find something but I'm not sure where they're going to get it from.

    Warrington 6-26 Wigan

Liam Marshall has a hat-trick! In only his second appearance for Wigan. It's the stuff dreams are made of.

A Warrington pass goes astray and the 20-year-old Wigan winger Marshall runs almost the length of the field to touch down under the posts for his third try of the match.

Morgan Escare is in the action again early in the second half.

The Wigan full-back's dancing feet earn a cheap penalty following a Warrington attack, and then his kick towards the end of a Warriors set puts the Wolves on the back foot near their own line.

A bit of a fractured start to the second half, as both sides make handling errors.

These two teams will be book-ending the Super League table unless there's a major turnaround in the second half.

Wigan will be top with four wins out of four, while Warrington will be bottom with four losses.

Can the Wolves produce something special? They'll start the second period.

    Warrington 6-20 Wigan

    Advantage Wigan at the interval.

Four tries and 20 points without reply have put the reigning Super League champions in control at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

But Ryan Atkins' score just before the break has given the Wolves something to build on in the second half.

Should be fun. Stay with me.

  12. 'I don't see it changing the game'published at 39 mins

    Warrington 6-20 Wigan

    Alan Hunte
Ex-Great Britain winger on BBC Radio Manchester

The consolation Warrington have about to go into half-time is that they've scored the try of the game.

For the first time in the game we saw Warrington with men in support. I don't really see it changing the course of this game with the way the two teams have played across this 40.

    Warrington 6-20 Wigan

Warrington are on the board just before half-time. Is that the boost they need?

Tom Lineham's break down the left touchline creates the space, it's taken further by Kevin Brown and Ryan Atkins is in support to finish.

A very nicely worked score for the Wolves.

    Warrington 0-20 Wigan

Warrington finally get the ball in a decent area, work some space on the right touchline, but Harvey Livett's pass to Matty Russell goes through his hands and sails into touch.

That's Warrington's half in a rather sizeable nutshell.

    Warrington 0-20 Wigan

Four tries without reply. This is dominant stuff from Wigan, taking advantage of an off-colour display from Warrington.

Liam Farrell was the man of the match in last season's Grand Final and he scoots over with eight minutes of the first half to play.

Morgan Escare misses a gettable kick, but the lead is up to 20 points.

If there's an opposite to having a poker face, Shaun Wane has it.

The television cameras pick out Wigan's head coach frantically gesticulating to his staff.

I'm sure he's delighted with the scoreline, though.

  19. 'Livett carrying Wolves'published at 29 mins

    Warrington 0-16 Wigan

    Alan Hunte
Ex-Great Britain winger on BBC Radio Manchester

Warrington have started to come into the game through young Harvey Livett.

He's carrying this Warrington team. At least he's threatening the Wigan line. Some of the older players need to jump on board and take a leaf out of the young man's book.

When you consider the speed and strike power that Warrington have in their back division, big forward Andre Savelio is an unlikely leading try scorer for the Wolves in Super League this term.

With his tally of three, 21-year-old Savelio has already bettered his previous season's best tally.

He's off the bench to replace Ben Westwood.
