Wigan in range here. Tackles in the bag... a try before the break?

Todd Carney and Michael Dobson have certainly got their act together. When they have the ball in hand, they're moving Wigan around. A lot of Salford's good play has come from those two.

George Williams screwed in a beautiful kick a moment ago to pin Salford back but winger Joe Burgess chasing was offside, pressure lifted.

Salford in front then as we close in on the break. Three to go.

What a signing Kris Welham was by the way. Salford had earmarked money and a quota spot for an international centre.

Unfortunately for Bradford, Welham left after their off-field troubles and ended up joining Salford. That freed-up cash brought Todd Carney in. Superb business.

Wigan are still a threat, no worries about that. It's not over by a long way.

The key to Salford getting back into this game is purely having the ball in hand. They're a much better side that way. All year, they've been exceptional when they have the ball in hand - they need to keep the ball away from Wigan as much as possible.

Energy comes and goes. When you're playing in big games, you have to find it from somewhere, and it's so precious when you find it. Salford have found it from a little bit of indiscipline from Wigan.

Wigan dishing out penalties for fun at the moment. Salford are forcing them into high shots and mistakes.

The Red Devils wave shows no signs of abating... superb disciplined display.

P Rudz: Surely had to be a penalty try? No try over the line but penalty?

Matt Williams: That's a shocking decision! Firstly, if he pulls him back then surely penalty try as stops him scoring. Never a sin-bin though.

It's a harsh decision for me to sin-bin Sam Tomkins - you have to make the challenge at some point. You can't have a committee meeting out there while you wait.

Michael Dobson, takes the two and gets the ball back to Salford from the restart. That will be a talking point, no doubt.

No try to Tyrone McCarthy who lost the ball in the grounding. But... Sam Tomkins has grabbed him before he gets to it and the Wigan full-back is off for 10 minutes in the sin-bin as a professional foul.

Wigan were not expecting the kick from Michael Dobson for that try. It was a great touch that was unexpected, and that kind of thing is very difficult to defend against.
