England full-back Gareth Widdop: "It's a great feeling. It's been a long time coming. It's one of the best games I've ever played in. Tonga fought to the end, but we hung in there and we're into the final.

Something incredible is on here now. Three tries in the space of five minutes - there is still time for Tonga.

When Tuimoala Lolohea scored that try, it was like 10,000 jet planes all landing at the same time. Is there something incredible that could possibly unfold here? Surely not, with three minutes to go. We saw their incredible fightback against New Zealand but this would be beyond spectacular.

Good work from the bloke who sold all these flags to the Tongan supporters - he'll be counting his dollars this afternoon.

The stadium has just erupted. I don't think I've ever heard such a moving reaction to an otherwise meaningless try - but it definitely wasn't meaningless to the Tongan psyche. If you're an England fan waking up to see their reaction and hear the noise - you'd be thinking you're in trouble! The decibels have shot up!

Tonga have tried everything but England have been up for everything. Tonga have looked for a chink or a break in this English line and there just hasn't been one.

Before this semi-final concludes, a few words of praise for Tonga.

What a World Cup they've had.

We've been waiting a long time for a country to challenge the established "big three" of England, Australia and New Zealand, and they have done just that in this tournament.

And they've been pretty good today - they've just run into an inspired England defence.

Ok then, so what are you doing next Saturday morning?

If you had any plans, cancel them. Barring a remarkable collapse, England will be playing Australia in a World Cup final.

You won't have to get up quite as early - it's a 09:00 GMT kick-off in Brisbane on 2 December.

There's still work for England to do before then - Tonga will not give up.

That try just came from pressure. The English middles have powered away and Tonga look tired. That makes defending on your edge very, very hard.

We talked about the physicality of the Tongans but in the end England have been just as physical.
