    That must be it!

There's no obstruction according to the video referee, so the try for John Bateman will stand and England are on the brink of the World Cup final.

    This is outstanding from England.

Luke Gale's kick lands perfectly and England's defence are in quickly to tackle their man in goal.

You can't fault Tonga and their willingness to take chances in attack.

Centre Michael Jennings attempts to get an offload away to the left touchline but it flies out of play.

Another good chance goes begging for Tonga.

A funny moment as Chris Hill squares up to an opponent and giant Tonga prop Andrew Fifita comes across to get involved, like a big brother defending his younger sibling in the school playground.

    It's all settled pretty quickly.

That was brave, smart play from Gareth Widdop. He knew if he got his legs off the ground, he'd win the penalty.

Paul Brown: Luckily enough, each time Tonga get within the 10 it all goes to pot. Could easily of been a different scoreline this. 20 mins to go... COME ON ENGLAND!

There are 30,003 inside the ground in Auckland today. It's a complete sell-out and the atmosphere has been incredible.

Just 20 minutes remaining. England still on course for the World Cup final.

Gareth Widdop claims a high kick and is tackled in the air - England get the respite of a penalty.

Jason Taumalolo has really made a difference this half: how do you stop him? There were four, five white shirts int he flame as David Fusitu'a went up there - he was caught and hauled down. England's defence has been excellent.

How on earth are England keeping Tonga out? After a sustained spell of Tonga pressure, a high kick to winger David Fusitua slips through his hands and out of play.

James Graham and James Roby made crucial tackles in that set. Graham is having an outstanding game for England.

There's going to be a stoppage here - Luke Gale's kick was expertly taken by David Fusitua but the Tonga winger took a bang in a collision with Sam Burgess.

He's back on his feet and fine to play the ball.

What a Saturday morning. Watching England Rugby League in the semi against Tonga, TMS on the headphones and snowing outside.

The Tonga fans in the crowd are singing hymns - it's such a beautiful sound.

While that's going on, you've got 20 stone props crashing into each other on the field. It's a contrast unlike anything I've ever seen before.

England have some world-class players in their team. I'd put Sean O'Loughlin in the same category as Cameron Smith - he's that level of player. James Roby, Ryan Hall, Jermaine McGillvary are all putting in good performances on the international stage.

England can't make anything from that chance. Tonga have it back 10 metres from their own line.

An excellent set of six from the kick off gets England deep in Tonga territory - the kick on the last tackle is knocked on and England have scrum head and feed close to the line.

Can England put this one to bed?

Who can kick better than who? Who can make the most metres out of their own half? I think it will help England if they can stay in their own half and do this.

Tonga are tiring in and around the middle. Get the penalty and it eases the pressure.
