This man will want to see his side put a foothold on this game.

As we approach the half-hour point, Wigan head coach Shaun Wane will be happy his side are only 4-0 down as it stands.

Can they work their way back? A Wigan try before half-time would be a welcome relief for the Cherry and Whites.

Tulsen Tollett: Some pace this game is going at. I’m in a sweat watching it!

Matt: WHY ARE THE COMMENTATORS SHOUTING?

Matt, I think it's fair to say this has been a brilliant cup tie so far!

    Warrington 4-0 Wigan

We have the first bloodshed of the game. Warrington second row Harvey Livett has a cut on the back of his head.

He's shaken it off and play continues. Good man.

    Warrington 4-0 Wigan

Bryson Goodwin collects the ball almost on the tryline and it takes about four Wigan players to stop him from twisting and turning to touch down.

Meanwhile, Tyrone Roberts puts another kick into the goal area and Josh Charnley does tremendously well to palm it backwards to keep it in play before he crashes into the advertising hoardings.

Unfortunately for the Wire, there's no one available to catch and ground the ball but some smart play from the former Wigan wing.

At the other end, Wigan gain territory and Sam Powell comes inches from touching down a try on the counter, but he fumbles and knocks on and Warrington are given a big let off.

Bit of a turn up that. Warrington have gained 486 metres in this game so far, compared to Wigan's 174.

Joshua Chapman: Livett converted that. Not sure how it's been given as a miss.

Joe Foxon: The ball has to go completely between the posts, so over the post is no goal. Correct call by the touch judges.

Will Dawson: If they can use TV for every single other decision in Rugby League, why can't they review that conversion that was clearly good? Bizarre.

    Warrington 4-0 Wigan

Some high quality play from Warrington here, who look more like gaining on their lead than sitting back.

Firstly, Tyrone Roberts' kick is almost met by Ryan Atkins before Oliver Gildart gets to it, before video ref Phil Bentham gets involved in another attack.

Kevin Brown looks like doubling his tally for the afternoon before Willie Isa pushes him away from grounding the ball, but Bentham decides it's fair and opts not to give a penalty try.

That missed conversion might come back to haunt Warrington. Harvey Livett's kick initially looked as if it bounced inwards, meaning it could be given.

But the touch judges said no. Contentious!

  9. try

TRY: Warrington 4-0 Wiganpublished at 11 mins

    Kevin Brown

Tom Lineham makes a run down the wing which sets up Warrington into a fine attack from one end of the pitch to the other.

Kevin Brown picks up the ball and he shows absolute raw power to bring the ball over the line with one tackle remaining before the turnover, despite plenty of Wigan players trying to stop him.

Harvey Livett's conversion is not given as it hits the very top of the right post.

  10. 'Wigan boss will be concerned'published at 10 mins

I think Wigan coach Shaun Wane will be a little bit concerned at the amount of offloads Warrington are getting in this game.

It's so difficult to defend because the defensive line is fractured.

Some concerning signs in these early stages.

Kyle: Wigan deserved the win at Magic Weekend. However I fancy Warrington to win today. Wigan were more clinical that day but Warrington created lots of chances. I'll say Warrington by 6.

Keiran McElroy: You can tell it’s a big game when the north stand are on their feet.

    Warrington 0-0 Wigan

First big rush to the tryline from Wigan.

Sam Powell kicks a speculative ball but Warrington wing Tom Lineham does well to catch and neutralise a dangerous visiting attack.

The Wire get the ball to the other end and Stefan Ratchford is just held up near the whitewash before Lineham attempts a rush into the corner but Wigan's defence smother him in to touch.

    Warrington 0-0 Wigan

Oof, Sam Tomkins is clattered into the advertising hoardings just beyond the goal area and that looks like it hurt.

But the Wigan full-back is totally unfazed. Made of steel, he is.

    Warrington 0-0 Wigan

Warrington scrum-half Tyrone Roberts attempts to grubber kick the ball to himself in order to touch down.

But Sam Tomkins has other ideas, as he collects the ball to thwart the first real attack of the game.

Wahey! A fun and feisty start sees Josh Charnley roll the ball onto the head of Liam Marshall as Warrington regather.

What a tremendous atmosphere, by the way. Stunning stuff in Warrington and a decent attendance today.

Both teams have got history in this competition in recent years, and tasted that success.

You have to win games like this - two of the heavyweights of Super League and whoever goes through is 80 minutes from a Challenge Cup final.

What a prize we have at stake here.

Lee: We have a wonderful sport which is ruined most weeks by refereeing decisions. Why are they so untouchable, no one can criticise their display without consequences, but what about the consequences to the teams they let down week after week? Not good for our game.

Sarah Mackenzie: Hoping for some good Radfordisms this afternoon.

Stuart Smith: After the terrible Huddersfield/Catalan game and the one-sided Leeds/Leigh game I am expecting an absolute cracker today - Warrington v Wigan. Two top teams battling it out.

Well I did say don't sit on the fence, Lee!
