Today is the third time these two teams have faced each other this season and the second time in two weeks.

Warrington overcame Wigan in a 16-10 victory at home in February while Wigan comfortably beat the Wire 38-10 at the Magic Weekend in Newcastle a fortnight ago.

But who's going to come out on top today?

This year, the Challenge Cup semi-finals will be played as a double-header at Bolton Wanderers' Macron Stadium on Sunday, 5 August.

The first game will kick-off at 12:30 BST, with the second at 14:45 BST.

Bolton's ground has a 30,000 capacity and has previously hosted World Club Challenge and international Tests.

Better still, the two games will both be broadcast on BBC TV in one five-hour broadcast, with the draw for the semi-finals made following tomorrow's game between St Helens and Hull FC.

"It will be a five-hour feast of rugby league, with that huge prize at stake - a Wembley final," head of BBC TV sport Philip Bernie said.

    Mmmm. Rugby league feast.

Thursday evening kicked off the 2018 Challenge Cup quarter-final fun and games with a game short of quality.

Huddersfield were defeated 20-6 by Catalans on a very warm night in West Yorkshire, with the visitors running in two decisive tries after the break as Josh Drinkwater's kicking helped them through to the semi-finals.

Last night, a feisty game between Leeds and Leigh resulted in the Rhinos clinching a semi-final place with a 52-22 victory in Featherstone.

13 tries were scored and Leigh had Peter Mata'autia and Matty Dawson-Jones sent off. So you know, a quiet 80 minutes.

It's day three of Challenge Cup quarter-final action. Today's game sees Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors battle it out for a place in the semi-finals.

Catalans Dragons and Leeds Rhinos are already through, having beaten Huddersfield Giants and Leigh Centurions respectively, but two more places are up for grabs.

A place in August's semi-final double header in Bolton awaits, but who's going to reign supreme at the Halliwell Jones Stadium this afternoon?

Kick-off will be winging its way to you shortly.
