Head coach Steve Price has the opportunity to ensure a place in Warrington folklore in his first season at the club.

The 39-year-old arrived at the end of last season to pick up their reins from club legend Tony Smith - who had turned the club from perennial strugglers to a major contender for Grand Final and Challenge Cup prizes.

As an Australian who grew up watching cup final action on TV in the wee hours of the morning down under, being in charge of a side for the big show at Wembley is a milestone moment.

Warrington are the favourites, they are consistent, but Catalans' performance in the semi-final will make Warrington worry a little bit.

Still, I think if they perform to their best then the Wolves should win. But they can't be overconfident

St Helens, the runaway Super League leaders, were expected to close in on the double when they made the trip to Bolton for the Challenge Cup semi-final earlier this month.

When searching for a word to describe Catalans Dragons reaching the Challenge Cup final, BBC rugby league correspondent Dave Woods landed on 'miraculous'.

    Hyperbole, this is not.

The Catalans Dragons story of trials and triumphs stretches well beyond one cup run to Wembley and means much more than bouncing back as a force after a relegation battle.

The tale of 'les Dracs' is one that encapsulates the very essence of pride and passion for the game in France where the sport was almost crushed by Nazi sympathisers in World War Two and has struggled for mainstream recognition.
