In the best kind of way this game is getting chaotic.

    It’s brilliant end-to-end stuff.

    St Helens 6-0 Leeds

That Matty Lees try was the fastest in a Grand Final, according to BBC Radio 5 live commentator Matt Newsum.

St Helens have started really fast - but so did Wigan last week and Leeds withstood wave after wave of attack before turning the game around in the second half.

Can they keep the Saints at bay?

Prior to kick-off, the Leeds fans were certainly much louder than their St Helens counterparts in the Stretford End opposite.

But that Matty Lees try has just changed things.

I sense a bit of edginess to the Leeds fans now but the atmosphere is raucous, either way.

What an amazing start for St Helens and it was as a result of the penalty conceded.

It was a nice sweeping move and the inside defence just couldn’t get there to cover as Lomax made the right decision and it was fantastic support play from Matty Lees.

    Fantastic opening try.

What a start! St Helens make Leeds pay for the concession of that early penalty.

Jonny Lomax fools the Leeds defence with a show and go and Matty Lees is on his left shoulder to take the pass and run in under the posts.

The perfect start for the champions.

Early penalty for St Helens as Tommy Makinson is caught by a high tackle from former team-mate James Bentley. This will give the champions good field position.

Leeds celebrate their 2011 Grand Final win over St Helens

Look down the list of recent meetings between these sides and it's fair to say it's a fixture that St Helens have dominated.

Saints have won their past 11 games against Leeds in all competitions, with the Rhinos' last win coming way back on 16 March 2018.

However, the sides have also met in four Grand Finals, all of which were won by Leeds - in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011.

One thing Saints have in their locker is I think they have another level in them.

If they up the intensity, I'm not sure Leeds can contain that.

But if they are a bit off, Leeds can certainly trouble them.

It has all the ingredients for a cracking game.

It was heaving outside Old Trafford earlier as fans patiently waited to be allowed in.

It's one of the greatest occasions in the British sporting calendar and don't the fans know it?!

As I enjoyed a leisurely walk to the ground, a boat full of St Helens fans sauntered along Salford Quays.

Truth be told, I heard them before I saw them. Not to be outdone, the Leeds fans I saw were in fine fettle as well.

More cliched men than I would call this a 'party atmosphere'. I just think it's rugby league.
