"This England team look so well-drilled. They don't need to communicate, it seems all done on instinct. The right players are cropping up at the right time."

Stephane Perdrix:, external Only 10 mins in but much more entertaining than France's 80 mins yesterday. This is rugby.

Evan Jones:, external More composure needed here. Fire in the belly, and ice in the head!

England spread the ball wide to Jonny May but when the winger chips ahead Leigh Halfpenny has a five metre start and he wins the race to get back and touch down for a 22.

Courtney Lawes then thinks he's clear as he smashes Romain Poite out of the way (completely accidentally) but the referee ends the 6ft 7in second row's gallop towards the line with a shrill blast of the whistle.

"I had to explain to former Wales footballer Robbie Savage, who is in the crowd, that when people dive they're probably trying to score a try in this game. Wales hooker Richard Hibbard looks like his big brother."

England have made 124 metres to 23 by Wales so far.

Wales finally mount their first decent attack but when it reaches George North he chips ahead on the 22 rather than feed the man supporting outside. Bad option from the giant winger.

"It has been all England, in terms of ball in hand. We're seeing a lot more football from them than we have seen in the past. But at least Leigh Halfpenny has brought Wales back into this game."

"The first thing they would have said was to not concede next and that was a soft penalty. It's evident that England are confident on the attack five metres from their line.

"I thought it would be cagey with a lot of kicking early on but it's the total opposite, which is great."

  8. PENALTY (Halfpenny)published at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2014

Over confidence from England. Courtney Lawes looks to go from his 22 but is tackled and penalised when he tries to get up and carry on.

Leigh Halfpenny doesn't miss those - we have a game on here.

"Wales were perhaps lucky that a player didn't get a yellow card there but England will swap that for seven points. It was inexcusable from Wales, no-one paying attention.

"Not only did Care show the vision and sharpness but it was his earlier quick tap penalty that had Wales on the back foot."

"As far as quick thinking, Wales will be absolutely furious. You spend all week talking about Danny Care and his quick tap penalties, but they just didn't see him!"

    Dazzling Danny Care.

The Harlequins scrum-half has been lethal all tournament and once again his speed of thought and action leaves the opposition floundering.

First he takes a quick tap near halfway and from it David Wilson rumbles to within 10m. Chris Robshaw takes it on and Wales hooker Richard Hibbard is yards offside as he tackles Billy Twelvetrees.

It looks as though England will take the three but Care taps and goes once again and not a hand is laid on him as he dives over by the sticks.

"David Wilson hasn't played much, he hasn't had much game time. Wales will know that and target it, and England need to work a little bit of magic there."

"They say revenge is a dish best served cold but England will take it in the warmth of Twickenham.

"This is louder than the Ireland game, a huge atmosphere here, and the scrum is crucial for both sides because Wales really gave England a shellacking down in Wales at this set-piece last year.

"Gethin Jenkins was at an angle but England were wheeling. It's a signal for England because if they don't square Jenkins up then they will be on the wrong end of the decisions all afternoon and they can't afford that."

Here come England. Mike Brown takes Rhys Priestland's clearance kick and runs it back, England look to go through the phases but a knock-on leads to the first scrum of the game. Key area this.

Oof, England are mangled as Gethin Jenkins gets into David Wilson. Penalty Wales.

"The England players stayed in the huddle just before kick-off, with Chris Robshaw ranting and raving at his side. He was telling his team about a year ago when they got taken to the cleaners - don't let that happen again."
